Anyone think Wayzata will start and end the season at #1 in the rankings? Back to back championships?

But alas there is no "I" in team. There is in "win" but the only way to win is by using "team" which again has no "I"

Good luck- and if you do win, good luck the next game

Im going to have to say I would like to see another upset, like Chisago Lakes over Eden Prairie or White Bear Orange over Wayzata. It's good to see the underdogs win. White Bear Lake clearly was the better team last night, they played against a very good goalie, went in to triple OT and beat them on a pretty goal. Congrads to White Bear and good luck!

Congrads to White Bear Orange, an underdog in 2 games and they pulled it off. Very glad to see the underdog pull through. Not sure they can beat Eden Prairie red but im impressed on them getting there. I was also impressed on Chisago Lakes performance against EP! they put up a fight.

How many of you are figuring out your spring teams? EP is still finishing their winter season - again, how you guys doing? Did you get your lacrosse sticks restrung yet?

Ep deserved to lose? HEads to high? You said that you are from Wayzata, and please tell me what place you got?

Ep did not deserve to lose, none of the teams in state deserved to lose. What you are saying is that during the banquet everyone was saying "congrats on making it to the tournement, after districts and regions" but then as soon as its all over one team deserved to lose? That doesnt make much sense. Ep was a bunch of first year players, and to make it that far is great, they are a talented group of kids, as is wbl, wayzata, blaine and all the other teams that made it. White Bear Orange are the champs and thats it, so congrats to them.

One more question?

IS wayzata to small of a community to make 2 EQUAL teams?

I agree Hockeyman. Everyone needs to give credit to Ep red. They had two team and Red was an all first year team. congrat to Wbl but I think people should give Ep more credit.

White Bear Orange

Post by blueblood »

Congrats to White Bear Orange!

Wow, after getting blown out in districts by Stillwater, they get the fortunate seeding to the South Regional. They rattled off 4 straight in Mankato. I had a chance to talk to these kids in Mankato during the regional and they were all class!

They followed that up with 3 straight wins over who I consider the best 3 teams in the state - Blaine, Wayzata Blue and EP Red for the state title.

Enjoy your title, you are now the hunted! I expect a fierce rivalry next season at the Bantam A level between Orange and Red, where most of these kids will end up.

Gotta give it to White Bear, obviously an underdog in the quarterfinals and semifinals, and even the final. They came together as a team at the right time of the year and i congradulate them on a good season. Also congrads to Wayzata for 3rd, and Blaine for consolation.

CONGRATS TO WBL,

Running off three wins against Blaine, Wayazata, Ep Red was aaaamaizing. I don't think there is any doubt who is the king of B1 hockey for 2007.

Excellent job White Bear Lake! Congratulations on a well deserved title.

There are a few Chaska hockey seniors this year that when asked about their hockey career highlight pop-off the time they won state as Bantam B1s.

Cherish and relish the accomplishment. Never forget what it took to earn it.

EP red, thank you for representing D6 - you players did extremly well this year.

I didn't think anyone but a d6 team would take it. Thank you WBL for proving me wrong.
