USHL Showcase vs. Xposure vs. Prospects

Post by nickel slots »

They all seem to claim the same thing. Does anybody have any inside info on what might be the best bang for the buck?

Obviously, the cost for the Xposure tournament (for MN kids, anyways) would be cheapest, followed by the USHL Showcase, then Prospects.

The Prospects Tournament and the USHL Showcase are both ran by the same people (Bob Turow and the rest of USHL Central Scouting). Xposure is run by Shattuck & EliteI.
Don't sweat the small stuff.
It's all small stuff.

USHL and colleges have been watching kids all season long.

Best bang for the buck is Xposure Camp. The Elite connection will bring in the scouts.

Xposure vs. USHL Prospects Camp

Post by PlayersFirst »

Correct, the USHL Prospects Camp is the direct result of Bob Turow and The Toronto Prospects Tournament losing U.S. players (not coming to the Toronto Tournament). This is a money making affair that may or may not provide a good venue for player exposure.

The Xposure Tournament, because of its ties to the Elite League and Shattuck St. Mary's, is a proven ground for true player exposure in front of a large group of scouts and coaches. The two camps cannot entirely be compared accurately.

If you desire true exposure, the Xposure Tournament is where the action happens.

So you are saying that the Exposure Tournament doesn't make any money? Lets see. 12 teams x 15 players x $259.00=$53,100.

Costs: Ice=0.00
Refs: $75.00 game x 24 games= $1800.00
Jerseys: $10.00 x 12 teams x 15 players = $1800.00
Promotion: $500.00 ( and that is a generous guess).

That leaves a whole lot a money somewhere..lets just accept them for what they are: Hype. (But alot of fun being hyped).
