They certainly sure are on one too. I think this will be the best game of the tournament...........cake-eater wrote:ND is on a roll.
I also was interested to see how everybody's brackets are doing and it appears it has come down to two contestants.............

I'll try to get an update in after classes today to let everyone know of the standings. Most people are out of it it's down to just a few contestants.[I also was interested to see how everybody's brackets are doing and it appears it has come down to two contestants.............

As for this game, I like BC 4-3. I'll take Schneider over Lammy in a big game any day.

I hope they do, it's good for the WCHA and it's a good lesson for Universities everywhere who want to win championships.Mantooth wrote:ND is gonna end up winning the championship also
I know gambling addictions paid for the rink, but UND could have taken the politically correct path and turned down Ralph's $, changed their mascot to the Banana Slugs (or something stupid that could sell clothing) and continued to play in what was already a pretty good D I facility.
UND chose the dough and can now outbid nearly everyone else for the players they want and win a championship about once every 4 or 5 years.

BC wins 5-1, north dakota already played the game they wanted to win, will come out flat, then BC rolls right over them because lameroux isnt very good and brian boyle is. also hakstol is funny, his team wins a great game in overtime against an archrival and he shows no emotion on his face, smile buddy because you wont be after BC is done with you

Brian Boyle, that kid is a phenomonal hockey player. Kind of strange to have your first line center being 6'7" as well as the leading point scorer on the team.hockyman08 wrote:BC wins 5-1, north dakota already played the game they wanted to win, will come out flat, then BC rolls right over them because lameroux isnt very good and brian boyle is. also hakstol is funny, his team wins a great game in overtime against an archrival and he shows no emotion on his face, smile buddy because you wont be after BC is done with you
In regards to another 6'7" hockey player, i was kinda surprised to see that Joe Finley of UND is a first round draft pick (27th overall by the Caps in 2005) It seems that his only priority is knocking the opposition through the boards. You just don't see many of those kids going first round these days.

They have not made a very strong case to.MNRinkRat wrote:I'm going with Boston College in this one. I just don't think a team from the WCHA will win it this year.

I think the best team from each bracket advanced and BC and UND are the best of the four. BC knocked UND out last year, I don't see it happening two years in a row. If the Sioux can pepper Schneider with a lot of shots they can sneak some by him. The outcome of the game depends on Grand Forks own Philippe Lamoureux. After Michigan scored their fifth goal in the opening game of the tournament he has seen 54 shots and saved 52 of them. In a total of 108:45 of time on the ice he allowed two goals. I like the Sioux in a barn-burner.
Fighting Sioux - 1-2-1 - 4
Eagles - 1-1-1 - 3
GWG: Ryan Duncan
Shots: 34-32 Eagles

Much faster pace to this one than the day game.
Boston College outplayed the Sioux big time in the 2nd frame. Lamoureax has made some big saves. Not to mention the 3 pipes that saved him so far.
North Dakota goes into the 3rd with a full 2 minute powerplay to start it.
Should end up being a barnburner!
