Good question?michael paul wrote:Where would he go?
Well I suppose Jrs is possible he's on the draft list.
Don't know about Ann Arbor or if he's even got that option(was he invited?)
He's a talented player that probably has many options but IMO is letting those options come to him instead jumping at things.
He's Capt. @ Rogers if he returns, he gets tons of ice time, he's got a good chance to make the final 17's roster, i'm sure he will play Elite in the the fall again. Why go anywhere?? the people in the know...know who he is and where he's at...Rogers won't have to go to the X for Nick to succeed, and contrary to what some may believe Rogers we'll be as good or better next year if the goaltending comes thru and both Jensen and Scatterrelli stay.
I've heard no transfer talk and frankly I think it's because he's happy with his friends and his school.

I dont know if rogers will be as good as they were last year, kupka is a huge loss and i personaly dont think the goaltending is there to come thru. Can't Never Tried wrote:Good question?michael paul wrote:Where would he go?

Depends... having 2 select 17 defensmen in front of you surely helps... and it helped Kupka, I think the bigger problem will be the tougher schedule.rayfinkel wrote:I dont know if rogers will be as good as they were last year, kupka is a huge loss and i personaly dont think the goaltending is there to come thru. Can't Never Tried wrote:Good question?michael paul wrote:Where would he go?

If Jensen and Scat come back what are they giving up besides the goalie?
If you look back thru the years the upcoming Sophs. 90's 91's group was every bit as competitive or more as the kids one and 2 years ahead of them that went to Rogers anyway....this past years JV group (Tier 2) played against a Tier 1 Grand Rapids team yesterday and had them down 3-0 and ended up in a 4-4 tie and that GR team is very skilled, granted it was GR's 2nd game of the day...but even still to just hang in there says a lot.

There were 9 seniors, 1 played JV and never dressed varsity. Of the remaining 8, only 2 were impact players. The top 3 "D" are returning. There are 10 returning underclassmen with some varsity experience. Of the forwards, 5 of them will be impact players next year. 4 of these played fairly regular. Rumors of some move in's should give them 2 1/2 solid lines. The 4th and 5th "D" will fit in nicely. Goalie ???? Again some rumors !! The bantam "A" goalie could possibly be OK with the solid "D" in front of him. I don't think many teams can look this deep so far in advance? (Granted, ALL speculation)
Jensen's not going anywhere!
But remember, the season doesn't start until November, anything can happen!!

Tougher schedule and kupka is gone. thats not a good combonation considering the backup hasnt played a big game and is pretty shackey.dane wrote:Nick is 99% staying, and Rogers pretty much has all there D back. Losing smith vasseur and Kupka will hurt but they'll be as good as last year. Only problem is a much harder schedule!!
