It will come down to the same 4 teams as it has the past 2 years, the biggest "if" IMO will be if the 2 select def. players for Rogers stay.... if they do they have enough to repeat..returning 3 of four starting D and one off their 3rd line is going to make them tough to get thru.
All of there D will be very good skaters in the 6' plus 170lb + range
As far as Off. they return Waddick, Provo, and as I said before a good group of sophs this year will be there as well.
If the 2 D leave it's as they say "up for grabs"

You know what I mean HOF....CI made a huge run at the end of the season and if a few games that were close went the other way?? who knows. Monty was in it right up until they lost to Rogers....so with all the turn over on all these teams it's kind of up in the air.HOFamer wrote:IOt came down to 4 teams 2 years ago? Yeah it was between R/Z and Buff the last 2 years....but we'll have to wait and see..sounds like Jensen and Scat are coming back to Rogers, so with that you have 3 of the top 4 D and the replacement for the 4th D won't be an issue.
IDK if any of the other teams return as much strength as R/Z does Defensivly, but of course you will say that the Bison do...Right?
Goalie??? the bantam goalie coming up is unchallanged yet but looks good playing spring hockey, so that question of goalie strength may not be as big a factor as some think especially with the power D in front.

CNT- Your giving Rogers too much credit...Buffalo returns everyone except Wachter/Carlson/Trousdale...those guys will be missed no doubt but we return 60% of our scoring...a three year varsity veteran goalie and a 75% of our defense including our best. Veit will more than likely return to defense to give us a solid 4. Our front line scoring will be magical I predict as we really do have some talented kids who have played together for a long time. Honestly, I think Rogers will be tough with their defense but I don't see Jensen/scat scoring 50 goals and unless they get some help up front they will have tough scoring on better team...Can't Never Tried wrote:You know what I mean HOF....CI made a huge run at the end of the season and if a few games that were close went the other way?? who knows. I am telling to watch out for some of these young Buffalo forwards...a couple are exceptionally talented...Buffalo will be deep as well and will have some size...watch out for the Bison and quit over estimating your guys and under estimating ours.

Sounds better then PurpleHOFamer wrote:The true colors of CNT...Royal Blue and BlackCan't Never Tried wrote:NopeHOFamer wrote:quit over estimating your guys and under estimating ours.![]()

We got some guys who can put the puck in the net HOF...and honsetly your losses are going to hurt more then ours.
Returning 75% of a Def and goalies that gave up 85 goals in comparison to returning 75% of a D that gave up only 40 we'll be just fine.

Well then I think a bet is order CNT..BTW...my guess is that your Scaterelli's dad...I would like to hear about the kids who can put the puck in the net? you seem well dare i say 'over confident' Let's see you playedCan't Never Tried wrote:Sounds better then PurpleHOFamer wrote:The true colors of CNT...Royal Blue and BlackCan't Never Tried wrote: Nope![]()

Buffalo twice 6 goals
Blaine one time 4 goals
Tech 4 goals
geez thats one third of your total goals against in 4 games...against top 40 teams...plus your goalie was pretty good if i recall made some incredible saves against us. Don't give your team and your kid too much credit CNT....

And you are way off the mark on who I am, remember I'm a Rogers guy not an Elk River runaway...

Didn't you give up that many goals in one Moorhead Game?

(Edit) oh I guess it was only 8 the 1st time and 11 the 2nd time

Were you even around in 69 HOF?? or is this just more stuff you got out of the Hockey For Dummies book?? to try and boost your poor image on the "bored"?HOFamer wrote:Doubt I am way off...I forgot you guys played a rugged schedule last year..oh didn't we take 3 of 4 points from you even though you had a senior dominated club and 4 of our 6 top fowards were Soph's and a Freshman? Guess your selective memory forgot that...again...you really have to work on overcoming everyone's perception of you as a pompous a$$.Can't Never Tried wrote:For crying out loud HOF it's "Good Friday" ya can't bet on a day like that...HOFamer wrote: Well then I think a bet is order CNT..BTW...my guess is that your Scaterelli's dad...I would like to hear about the kids who can put the puck in the net? you seem well dare i say 'over confident' Let's see you played

With that said..unless STMA inherits three lines/two sets of defense and a goalie they will be lucky to nip BLL..
While Rogers in shutting out Wadena Deer Creek next season and CNT is feeling good about his kids chances on the Gophers....the Bison will be playing the likes of Roseau, Moorhead, Edina, Cloquet, CDH, MTKA, Wayzata and other big time programs. Yes, the Bison were ripped twice by Moorhead last season no doubt...I think they beat up many teams like that...but i am sure in CNT's mind the Rogers de would shut down the Spuds.... The Bison beat Duluth East, Hastings, Wayzata, RJM and played Edina, Mtka, Stillwater and others tough...their young guns have and will grow and have better skills then anyone on Rogers...if this happens Bison may..just maybe have a chance against the Royals and the best de since the 69 Bruins,,,doubtful but maybe...
I think you'll find the schedule will be much different in 07-08 with the coach knowing that Rogers is in AA prior to the season this year...I've heard they have many offers to schedule with quality teams and have Mtk. MG, and Wayzata, to name a few already scheduled.
Oh yeah didn't CI take 3 of 4 points from you

And the spuds also beat River Lakes right before you by the same 8 goal spread

Hey Flamer - are the Bison really playing Roseau and CDH? That makes for a tremendous schedule! But I think that may put you over the limit on games.HOFamer wrote:While Rogers in shutting out Wadena Deer Creek next season and CNT is feeling good about his kids chances on the Gophers....the Bison will be playing the likes of Roseau, Moorhead, Edina, Cloquet, CDH, MTKA, Wayzata and other big time programs.
