Who makes the best goalie pads?

Post by Edinagoalie0 »

I'm wondering who's buying what in terms of goalie pads. What's popular? What's underrated and overrated?

I would say Vaughn is the best. Rbk second. Itech's break down really easy and so do CCM from what I have heard.

i think brians new pads are pretty well built. maybe a little underrated. and even though rbk's are a good pad, i think they may be mildly overrated.

Why would I want to spend 200+ more $, for the same quality?

There pretty close. Have you ever worn Simmons? And some ECHL goalies use them actually.

Who ever vote's simmons has no idea what they are talking about. Ya there excellent pads if you 10 years old. They are not made to the same quality of vaughn and rbk pads. Simmons is just some sh*tty knock off that isnt even comparable to vaughn. Do yourself a favor and buy vaughn pads, they are better quality and you can get a better resale for them. I gurantee that you will be happier with a pair of vaughn pad then simmons. Just look at the pictures of simmons on line they look cheap. You can just see that the buckles and the padding is awful. Hell the pro simmons pads have less padding and comfort then the jr. velocities.

So you don't have a clue if they are good quality or not. So don't say crap about them, if you don't know what your talking about.
