Top 9th Grade Goalies

Post by RBKRules »

Very impressive group of 9th grade goalies this year lead by Hopkins goalie duo of Fons and Krueger. O'Shea from Eastview, Ray from Andover. Tough postion for Juniors let alone 9th graders to lead their respective teams and be successful at the HS level.

Luis Pineda of Shakopee, just got his second start vs. Northfield. I believe he's 1-0-1. Should be splitting with their junior goalie from now on

I've watched Burke from Holy Angels via Chaska and think he is one of the best underrated goalies out there. Meyers from EP is also good as is O'Shea-the lefty from Eastview.

I was very impressed with Fons from Hopkins on the couple of occasions I watched him play this year. Very poised and impressive for a 9th grader on the varsity level. It will be interesting to see how he develops in the next few years.

I heard Cotter is moving to the south metro this summer. That will leave Princeton without a goalie.

Saw Cotter in Duluth at the Advance 16's, he looked good.

Didn't Spring Lake Park have a 9th grader, how was he? Didn't he stand on his head against Breck?

Top 9th Grade Goalie

I saw that game and he played extremely well. I guess he had big wins against Irondale and Andover during the regular season.

As of Right now the Cotter family is living in Princeton and they haven't moved there is still talk they may "i've talked with the family 1st hand" if there was a move himself and the family is friends with Coach Housley in Stillwater and Her "Ricks Mom" job would have them moving in that area....
