I'd have to move White out of the 4 hole and put Morneau there. White can hit 7th and everyone else can slide up a spot. If Punto and Bartlett could just be average you could have the speed guys on base in front of the team's 3 best hitters.

The chances of them hitting Mauer and Morneau back to back consistently is slim to none.

True, but I don't see the problem with it. Both hit lefties just as well as righties, and the amount of good left-handed relievers in the AL is minimal.

You guys will be happy to know that i am developing a device that fits over the arm and shoulder and would allow a pitcher to recover from a start in just a few hours.

So far i only have 2. A right-handed one (Nathan) and a left-handed one (Santana)

Mussina gets hurt, 1 and 2 nobody out. We elect to take the bunt off for the 2-1 pitch. Castillo pops out. Then Punto pops into a double play. Some more questionable coaching and questionable baserunning. Everyone tune into ESPN 2. Awesome things are happening in that game.

I need to ammend my first comment regarding this. He is not perfect. Still might be worth tuning in though.

And Ramon Ortiz has a fan in me. Unlike Kyle Lohse, he waited for Torii after a great catch and shows some emotion on the mound. I liked it when the Twins signed him even though it went under the radar and I think he & Alexi Casilla will get the Twins very far.

Agreed. If A-Rod plays for 8-12 more years and stays healthy, your looking at a guy that will hit 1000 homers. Plus I would like to point out that the best shortstop in the game today is playing 3rd base.

It was painful watching them 'hit' for the first 7 innings though.

You know that management has done good job when Luis Rodriguez is your DH.

But it doesnt matter how you win and they have had a lot of regular season success with this formula.

Ortiz looked great.

I think you are right IS. The Twins just do not match up well with them.

Looks like the bullpen will get some help as they are calling up Perkins.

Interesting, they are so concerned about limiting the starters to 100 pitches that Crain has developed some shoulder soreness.

I love Gardy but I dont understand him sometimes.

But thats the great thing about baseball. There are different ways to go about it and second guessing is part of the fun.
