You knew Buehrle was going to come back and be the pitcher that he usually is. That's the whole reason I drafted him in fantasy. But seriously, did Chicago have a good pitcher last year (and Garland doesn't count cuz his ERA sucked)? It was bound that Mark or Jose or Javier or someone was going to get their stuff back this year.

The Twins are living a charmed life right now. They were very lucky to win that game last night.

Nathan looks shakey.

"The harder you work, the luckier you get." - Gary Player

I agree that they've caught a couple of breaks recently (see: Carl Crawford and Andrian Beltre), but that's 2 more ticks in the "W" column, and I'm happy they got them.

Are you guy's kidding? I mock Buehrle and his Wimp Sox. He was lucky that the Texas bats were out of comission last night, but expect nothing more of this in the future. White Sox are down for the count after winning the World Series.

The Twins are doing a lot of things right.

Starting pitching has been very good and they are scoring some runs as of late so Player's quote does apply.

If they can be 9-5 playing the way they have, when they start hitting on all cylinders, they will be a force.

He's always looked like a sober Kid Shelleen (Cat Ballou) on the mound. Now he's pitching like one...

BTW - In case anybody was wondering, Govs, along with his buddies CDH Raiders & NP Trojans (neither of whom pays any attention to this site), will be leaving for KC in 12 hours... damn those west coast playoff games!

Since I'll be on the road when the new thread goes up, I'll make my pic for the series now... Royals pitching sucks - Twins Sweep.

Stay tuned for pics throughout the weekend... I'm sure you'll all be on pins-and-needles.

Castillo comes up lame and leaves the game.

Did I just hear right? Twins are 23 for 23 stealing bases this year?

Actually, I believe coming into this game, they were 14-14, so with the double steal today they're now 16-16... well on their way to 23-23!

The twins left 21 men on base tonight.

Cuddyer left 6 on.

Most guys left 2 on.

Thats got to change.

You got that right! Man the Twins are getting banged up now with Castillo straining his quad.

Casilla's got it taken care of, no worries.

Nice sweep Twins, I would have preferred more game 1's instead of game 2 & 3, but a W is a W. Nice job!

Btw, ARod hits his 10th HR of the year and 2nd walkoff.

Word on the street is that Rondell White is due to come off the DL soon, hopefully that will mean the Twins won't have to have their back-up catcher DH anymore. If Castilla does have to hit the DL, things should be alright with both Casilla and Rodriguez available to play second base and both have proven they can play at the Major League level and provide the needed piranha atributes that will be missed without Castilla.

As far as I'm concerned, Rondell can take his time coming back. Give me more of Redmond at DH. As for Castillo, he may be needed for the big picture to come into focus, but ERE is right, 2B is in good hands with Casilla.

After watching Mateo hurl gas on the fire during the 5 run inning, it makes me appreciate that Twins bullpen even more.

The contract aside, I think Beltre would look good in a Twins uniform.
