Quick Skills Camp

Post by hockeyon »

Sounds great, to bad it falls on the same week the Christian Athlete Hockey Camp is held in Soldotna Alaska. Thats the hard part with summer camps. There are so many to choose from and most of the time they end up on the same week as other camps. I guess research and personal preference comes into play.

We tried our best to avoid conflicts with other events In speaking with several (many) coaches this was the time of there choice.

Girls Cup:
August 2-5, 2007 (U16 and U19)
August 9-12, 2007 (U10, U12, U14)

There is an overlap only on the 5th potentially. Very tough to impossible to find dates that do not conflict.

Thanks for posting about the Great Northern Development Fest.

What I think many are missing is that this is an ideal "conflict" to have...

Why?

Because all those coaches are already in the area for the Int'l Cup. I think it's brilliant.

If players playing in the cup cant make it until Sunday night or even Monday Morning we will facilitate that for them the best we can. Actual Practices will not begin until Monday morning There will be ice Sunday night though JUst a note the fee is not due until you are accepted to the camp. We encourage everyone to apply THankyou GHS for the compliment the goal is and remains the same. To help these young ladies. GrandRapids can be made in 3 -3.5 hours. Remember the speed limit is a LIMIT not a starting point LOL

We anticipate being able to announce that shortly.

The website say it includes meals, housing and ice time. Where are the girls being housed?

When do girls know if they are accepted?

THe girls will be housed at the arena in the same manner that they do it for the Don Lucia Camp. The Girls will be notified No later than Mid June but much sooner if applications continure at the pace they are

Not familiar with how Don Lucia camp participants are housed so would you please explain?

Just an application, no payment until accepted? Correct.

Thanks.

My daughter pretty much lives at the arena when it is open so the housing at the arena may just be a dream come true.

Thanks!

I'm confused. I went on the Quick Skills Camp website. Is this a girls development camp or a skills festival? If it is a festival, does the Quick Skills Camp offer "just a camp" for girls to work on their skills? Help me-I'm going crazy researching camps/tournaments! J/K!

Skill Fest

Post by Media »

Currently all 4 teams have a current Division one coach, That will be on the ice with them for every session. We have hired a goaltender coach out of Minnesota state and each team will have an assistant coach either D-1 or D-3 level. Two of 4 counselors have been hired and a security person has been contacted. In addition a trainer will be available during ice session. We have started the mailing process of information to the coaches . Things are right on schedule .
