Justin Jokinen lead section 7AA in points last year.
David Brown is a very solid defenseman.

I said it about a month or two ago. I expect Jokinen to be a Mr. Hockey Finalist.

yea i can pump his tires a little bit.
as for jok he is like 6 "3 and will lead 7aa in points, mr. hockey is given to the player that has the highest NHL scouting rank and he will be up there for sure. unless he gets hurt he will be in the final 10 for sure. my opinion.
Brown work on that foot speed bro.

player, however Mr. Hockey? not so sure boblee, but you're doing
a good job of promoting him early on...correct me if I'm wrong, I
don't believe he ever even made the `15, 16 or 17 National teams, and
I know he tried out...

Does that matter? The kid led the most competitive section in the state in points as a junior, in the shadow of Tyler and Sever. He is a fine player and will get Mr. Hockey consideration.

You've got to give it up to Bob on this one, leading that section in points as a junior was probably a preview to an even better senior season, I don't think there's anyway you can say that there's no way he'll be in the running.boblee wrote:Does that matter? Section 7AA scoring

I wouldn't be so sure about that...Anoka is now is Section 7AA and has a returning player who also scored 50 points last year...and 20 points in the Elite League. In addition, TJ graduates and Anoka returns their top 3 scorers from the past 2 years.. who most likely will be playing on a line together.

Jokinen next year
Is Jokinen going to tryout at Indiana? Would he play there next year vs staying home for his senior year?

I am sure he will stay home next year. He may do a before and after deal, but he will be a Lumberjack.Offside wrote:Is Jokinen going to tryout at Indiana? Would he play there next year vs staying home for his senior year?

I think Jokinen was one of the most underated players in high school hockey last year. He lead the most competitive section in Minnesota in points but didn't get much attention because of Tyler Johnson. I certainly expect that if he stays healthy, he will be a Mr. Hockey finalist by the end of the season.
