I could see McCartan making it not so much as rogge. Jack is 6'2 and a beast. you would get beat if you are on a 1-1 with him becuase he has a lot of speed and with his size. He doesnt have a great shot but I think it is good enough to make the team.

Being an EP guy I would have to say the two EP kids, McCartan and Rogge. McCartan is 6"2" big physical kid, and I heard from Rogge's dad that he led the D6 team in scoring for the weekend. I agree with you on Lutzka, I saw him play at Shattuck this winter, great player.
Kyle Rau led the team in scoring. Rogge had 1 goal maybe 2? McCartan and Rogge were 2 of the 4 players from D6 who didn't make it to St. Cloud. They maybe just felt they needed some diversity up in St. Cloud and could not take the whole D6 team. They are still great players though.

From 3 games I saw

D6 Scoring

Rau 2G 2A 1 shot out goal
Patterson 2G 1 A
Rogge 2G 2A
Daly 1G
Keske 1G
Thornberg 1G
Clark 1G
Paulak 2A
Garnder 1A
Smith 1A
Robson 1A

I am sure I am missing some assists, you couldn't hear the annoucer very good through most of the weekend.

A player that should have made it that didn't was A.J. Reid. He is easily one of the top 102 92's in the state.

I agree, that team should have had a lot of players make, I know D6 won the Festival, but I thought D8 had the best talent.

Surprisingly, Jordan Lovick did not make top 102 last year, but he did make top 51 this year in 16's. Hockey is rarely predictable.

Lovick is a very good player but I didn't see him on the Advanced 16's roster posted on MN Hockey. Maybe he was an alternate and was asked to participate when a player was unable to attend last weekends 16/17 festival at Plymouth.

It always seems that Lovick is at his peak during the regular season. Many times during the summer/off-season, i hear kids say that Lovick kid doesn't do anything.

HAHAHA

You have to be kidding? Kyle Lutzka was one of the best bantams in the state this past season.

Someone didn't do their job, I would have expected Lutzka to make the top 20 let alone the 102.

Minnesota Hockey or USA hockey whoever is running this should probably re-evaluate how these teams are picked, this isn't the end of the world for a guy not to make it, but this should never be political.

Any other players that should have made it not going?

...With that being said, good luck to everyone who did make it.
