second year of bantams or jv
im kind of in the bubble here. i could play bantams again next year and do well there. i might be able to play on third line jv. im sure there are lots of kids making the same decision. advice?
choices
Be realistic with where you are in hockey first.
Second, consider the coaches that will develop you...
Will you have a better development year as a JV 3rd liner with no power play time and some PK's, in the system that you will most likely play as a Varsity player down the road....or play 2nd year Bantams, be on the top of the roster with PP's and possibly more ice time.
To me, it comes down to Coaching...who will coach you at the different locations...which Coach will better develop you to be a Varsity hockey player in another year (possibly).
Good luck, should be an interesting string of responses.

second year of bantams or jv
This could be a difficult decision. I have seen many kids in the same situation and for a few it was a good decision to go to jv and for most they wish they would have taken advantage of one more year of bantams. I have been told by a few elite coaches that they would rather see kids stay in bantams. Their analogy on this is " It's better to know how to drive the bus than ride". If you have good skills, they will not get unnoticed this year or the next. The biggest advantage of staying is confidence and leadership qualities that come from leading a team compared to being a partial participant. If you work hard the same opportunities will present themselves whether you play another year of bantams or play jv. [/quote]
