Okay, so what did I miss?

Post by east hockey »

Just rolled in from the Duluth Intl Airport, "fresh" from our 22 day trip to the sunny Aloha State. I haven't slept in 27 hours so maybe I'm in the mood for some fresh bannings before I go take about a ninety-hour nap. Image. Suggestions always welcome.

I think it says something about my priorities when I report what I did as soon as we got in the door:

1. Called my brother to tell him we're home
2. Called my auto mechanic (to tell him we're home and my car is acting up again)
3. Got the mail
4. Bought milk
5. Turned on the computer and reported a few hundred emails as spam to charter.com :)
6. Logged in here and found my eyes crossing after two posts, marked everything as read.

Heard Duluth got one heckuva hail storm yesterday. Thank God for garages.

Anything else new and exciting? This feels like the same boring city we left 3+ weeks ago. People still drive like crap.

I'd like to say that we've missed you... but we just haven't.

No bannings needed, we took care of everything by ourselves.

What did you miss?

Well, here are just a few things:

. There was a thread started over in the maim forum that asks the question: How good will Moorhead be in the year 2525?

. Terry Ryan was fired as Twins GM and was replaced by our own Irishman's Shanty

. ER is getting used to all the traffic on 101 and in fact is supporting the new tax hike so more construction can ocurr

. slapshooter has givin up golf and has decided to install a shuffleboard in his back yard

. boblee has been finally identified as secret agent 007 James Bond

. Chrisk has been watching baseball games and it has finally dawned on him that some of the players actually use bats

. A large area of the Liffey has been set aside and reserved exclusivley for minnhock posters during the state tournamnet

. The Wait Until Lent thread is till locked out so I couldnt follow up about all the rich, recruited Catholics at St Agnes.

Other than that, been kinda dull.

NBA Commissioner David Stern used the word "palabar" when discussing the suspensions he handed out.

Moorhead in 2525? They'll still be playing Zagar & Evans on the Oldies Station and that stupid song will still be stuck in someone's head. Thanks. :P

In fairness to Chris, he's still mourning over losing his boy Brad to retirement. Twas fun watching you two banter back and forth about him, however.

I knew ER was a closet liberal all along. Tax and spend, tax and spend. Yikes. Could be worse, however. He could belong to the Dark Side...heh heh.

Which Bond is Boblee? The first, the best or the latest?

Thanks for the laugh, Joe. Even in my bleary eyed state, I found myself giggling.

Lee, you must have misssed the part where during his heart attack, PB was caught in a ChrisK type conundrum... How to chase his own ambulance!
