The Twins relief pitchers should now give up fewer clutch home runs, however.

Damn, we fit in well with the NL style of play. Why weren't we the ones to go over to the NL instead of the Brew Crew?

Ortiz is pitching himself right off the roster, he's allowed two hits per inning over his last four starts. Ortiz will get a few more starts but he's too old, he's had too many sub-par seasons recently, and he's making too little $ to do this much longer.

One outing by Baker doesnt prove anything. Lets not forget how good Ortiz looked for a few starts. Sign Hunter

But Ill be darned if we all didnt say that none of us understood why TR signed these over the hill guys to pitch when he has the young arms in the organization. Sign Hunter.

One thing we all said was "They cant do much worse than Ponson and theyll get the experience"

So, we pick up the paper this morning and the spin is that Baker really learned alot from some bad outings last year and it really helped his development. Dah. Sign Hunter.

We wont keep Santana. Get Garza up here and get him the experience.

When Santana leaves, we can have Liriano, Garza , Baker and Boof as proven ML starters. Forget the Ortizes and the bargain basement crap.
Sign Hunter.

Go with the young pitchers and save the money to sign Hunter and a free agent veteran power hitter.

The rumor is the Twins are heading to Texas to play a few games. Let me do some looking here and find a Ranger that is going to abuse Twins pitching.

Here's a candidate, Michael Young (.228), 3 for his last 17 including 0x6 yesterday. Yes, he will be this week's Grady Sizemore. Sizemore entered the Twins' series 1 for his last 14 and collected four hits in game #1.

It's an interesting topic to explore.

Equally fascinating is which TEX pitcher who now has an ERA of about 6.00 are we going to rejuvinate with 7 innings of 5 hit 1 run baseball or other similar futility.

Kameron Loe (6.21 ERA, 1-3) will dominate the Twins on Tuesday night.

He did it before he will do it again.

August 26, 2005: Loe was a middle reliever who needed to make a spot start and eat some innings. Loe went on to not only eat up some innings, but he shutout the Twins on 5 hits over 5 innings walking none and striking out 5.

Exactly what I said in the other thread. Wish I had read it first so I could give PB some props... then again, maybe not.

State Champ, we are trying to be subliminal here sign Hunter since we know Terry Ryan and other high level Twins officials check this site dailey to get info and guidance on what to do. Sign Hunter.

As was proven by Neut's latest post , sign Hunter he didnt even notice it until you mentioned it because of the extreme subliminal nature of the sign Hunter message.

Remember , subliminal messaging is so effective, they had to ban advertisers from using it on TV and at the movies sign Hunter.

I am sure it will get the job done.

You spelled it out though PB, don't you think the Front Office type will be smart enough to know what is going on now?

Not necessarily ER sign Hunter

You see, studies show (and who are we to argue with studies) that people dont really read the words from the stand point of seeing every letter. They get the gist of it and move on sign Hunter.

So, even though its in black and white , the sign Hunter subliminal nature of the message is still there.

Last year Hunter had a career year but the Twins didn't do anything but pick up their option on Hunter, this season he's having an even better year. So either the Twins blew it by not signing him last year making it more expensive to sign him this year or they're aren't planning on resigning him anyhow so what he does this year makes no difference. 6 time consecutive Gold Glove winners rarely lose value, I don't know what the front office was thinking last season.

Whether this team makes the playoffs or struggles to play .500 ball this season, Hunter is the face of the francise. Santana is a pitcher and at best only plays in 20% of the Twins games, Mauer isn't dependable enough - his 15 days are up and there is no hint of his return.
