I thought you might enjoy that.EREmpireStrikesBack wrote:Don't ya love it when people talk and can't back it up? I think it's even better when people talk and can back it up, but don't tell anyone until they try to call them on it and then it gets pushed back in their face. Well done.

Pat is a big, strong, young man and he will adjust to the next level. If you've seen any Rapids games, you'd notice how much abuse he takes every shift he's out there. Other teams tried to limit his space, but in most cases he would win the majority of the battles. I look for the Golden Gophers to put Pat at wing. He's so good at going into the corners and coming away with the puck. He's also very unselfish for a player with his shooting skills.stickboy1956 wrote:I've also heard that seveal NHL teams think his injuries are an issue - durability?boblee wrote:I have heard a lot of talk that the Wild are interested in taking Patrick. That would be a great opportunity for him. He is a very skilled player, and if he can stay healthy, has a legitimate shot at a pro career.

For the nay-sayers...
Patrick White was interviewed by 27 teams in two days at the NHL combine.

He may be a 1 or 2 year, then pro kind of guy if he keeps on developing.
Wish him well

Don't shoot the messenger - just passing on what a couple NHL execs (not local) told me - doesn't mean he won't be drafted high - it's just a real factor they are looking at along with his skills when they consider draft position.norcon wrote:Pat is a big, strong, young man and he will adjust to the next level. White has had a few injuries over the last few years so I think it is fair to have that question about him. The good thing for him is none of those injuries are of the long term variety and he can shed any doubts with a few good seasons of 40+ games in college. I do think as he advances to the next level, he'll be more likely to stay healthy because he will have equally talented teammates out there and all the focus of the opposing team won't be on him.
