I know Vy Nguyen from Northfield made it.
Pretty sure Ally Foley from Faribault and I would assume Jenkins from Austin. Beyond that, I am not sure.

A question I have is how many girls or boys have made it to high level NDP or have gone on to play college hockey? Why do we have such a harder time than say small schools up north do at producing top flight players?

One of the players told me...
#7 Hannah Impola
Senior
Forward - F
Height: 5-6
Hometown: Brainerd, Minn.
Last Team: Brainerd H.S.
Major: Math Education

http://www.cord.edu/dept/sports/winter/wh/impola_ha.php

A couple things excite me about her
1. She is a former player
2. She is a she
I think both will help her tremendously with this group.

I am concerned about her age and coaching experience. She's only slightly older than her players and seriously, how much coaching experience can a recent college grad possibly have??

Rats, he's back. There was some talk of him being banned from MINNHOCK too. Unfortunately, I see it was just a rumor :(

Leave it to ZAMBONI to rip women on a Women's hockey website. I suppose ZAMBONI uses the phrase "You throw like a girl." He said that once on the playground and Susie sent him home crying. This explains his big ego, small boy complex. Hopefully he can work this out with his therapist.
Like I have said, ZAMBONI, the perfect coach, to screw up the perfect girl's hockey team (AL). AL missed out on this opportunity.

He's a bright one #-o ....I've decided the only way to deal with Z is to ignore him and his posts. From this point forward he longer exists  Should be fairly easy.

All right. After seeing our girls play in the Kasson league, I am going to say it. We may be the team to beat. We are better than I thought. Section 1A will come down to Faribault and Albert Lea. The Big Nine will also come down to the same two. JM needed Austin's #12 to beat us today. I understand, though it just makes us stronger playing better competition and we used a few grads also, but I am impressed by our team. New prediction:
1. Faribault by a goal or two
2. Albert lea
3. Northfield
4. Maybe Austin
5. The rest, Who cares.

Faribault will have 1 really good line while AL plays 3 most of the time. What makes you think you can keep up?

3 lines. Get Serious. AL has 1 strong line, a second decent line, and a marginal 3rd line. Our first line is better. Our U14 team has produced some unexpected talent. They were too much for Austin's second and third line. Furthermore; I hear AL's goalie is barely committted. I love Golf. We will see which team is the team to beat. Maybe sooner than later. :P

Faribault is the Greatest.

check that, the Falk brothers put it together so they could run 3 solid lines against another teams one or one and a half. We'll see how this youngster does in putting together a game plan to beat a solid, yet not as good, team (as in Faribault). This AL team could be very tough if they get some things to go right and have some of the secondary forwards put the puck in the net. Also, no one has talked about the loss of two of AL's D men. This could play a big part in how much pressure old "I love to golf" has on her.

No doubt this coach is taking over a program that is in the best shape it has been in. It should be interesting to see what happens.

It is always a lot of "ifs" when it comes to AL fans. If the stars line up and it is a full moon and the wind is from the east, then we might put the puck in the net and win. Nice confidence in your team.

Just remember Golf is the greatest game there is.............in Albert Lea.

Faribault is obviously the greatest.

con·de·scend·ing (kŏn'dĭ-sěn'dĭng) adj. Displaying a patronizingly superior attitude:

falcons,
Since you like the if - then scenarios...
IF Faribo has the same success against AL as last year (0-1-1) THEN they will not win the Section. :P :P :P

Besides, it's ALL "IF" until the season starts.

Albert Lea Hockey.

Sorry to hear the Falk brothers are not going to be the coaches for the tigers next year. Maybe due to new work schedules because of the sale of the family work place or other family plans. They had everything set in place for making a good run and getting to the girl's state tournament. I hope the new coach can continue with what the Falk brothers started. Also it's up to the girls to make that extra push for the tournament. Good Luck.

Tiger power you beat me to the punch.

The apple does not fall far from the tree or should I say the pine cone does not fall far from the Red lighted Christmas Tree. :P :P

What is with 30% of the forum thinking Austin has a chance at this section. Go watch them play. Sadly the best player in the section is stuck there.
