Os Prospect 2007
I think this will be an excellent opportunity in a clinic like setting (an extended timeframe):

Sounds similar to the Great Northern Skill fest being put together by Media in that it has college coaches running the sessions. Format is different with this one running twice a week for 16 sessions, where the Skill Fest is a week long camp, correct?
Seems like a good vehicle for exposure to college for young prospects. They'd get a variety of coaching as well throughout the summer.

IMHO I think that if you're local (in the cities) the OS Prospect is great option. If you're outstate (or even in the cities too) I think the Great Northern Skill fest is a great option.RSI wrote:I like the sound of it, but how does one become a prospect? Just pay the $550 and declare yourself a prospect?
This would be great if we weren't 100 miles away...like everything else. I need to live in the Cities.
Contact Os or QuickSkills directly for info. on each!

I don't think this is true? To have College coaches involved by NCAA rules I believe it has to be open to all. In that this is largely filled already I'm sure many that come along now may be turned away due to limited number of spots. I know that both of these events are working hard to make certian that all guidelines are followed.trilogy wrote:OS Prospects is by invitation only. Although like everything else not everyone will accept and there may be room for additions.
Correct
As I began the QuickSkills camp Idea it was one of the first rules I learned in regard to events like this.First come first serve, In addition it can only be attended by Girls from the state it is being held in. The only exception would be if you lived next to a state border, Then you could extend no more than 100 hundred miles into the adjoining state for players. Ireally dont want to compete against this event, I believe we can both offer development to the players of Minnesota, As GHS said two different tracks, same desire to help Minnesota girls excell and achieve . Clearly we welcome anyone within our camp, but have advised early application so as not to be disappointed , I suspect this camp would feel the same .
Re: Correct
A great attitude to have, especially for an entrepreneurial venture. I wish the same attitude was prevelent in my area in regards to non-profits trying to further the development of the region's players.Media wrote:I believe we can both offer development to the players of Minnesota, As GHS said two different tracks, same desire to help Minnesota girls excell and achieve .
