You can't sit here and rag on a kid who made varsity as a 9th grader on a team that went to the state tournament! But yet again, you can't praise the kid either until he does something that is condusive to us thinking he's gonna be great. He's got pretty good size, a decent skill set. If he hits the weightroom, and works on his game in the summer, look for him to put up some decent numbers next year for Warroad.

YA he got 8 points as a freshman, but he was with 2 of the best players in the state. wow he was on a team that got 4th place in the Jv tourment. I think he will play for some bad junior team after high school and try to keep playing but he will end up back in warroad wishing he was back in high school and working at marvins. 
"hands19" you're pretty funny... the "jv State tournament", you're probably from a town that consistantly gets beat by those so called "JV" teams because if you where actually from a respectable school a comment like that would never come out of your mouth. And if you are from a respectable school, you obviously where not taught any class when you where a kid. i am from one of those "jv" schools and we lost to two AA schools while being in high school. we did this while playing a good number of AA schools. To call the single A tournament "jv" is just an insult to the MN High school league. haha on another note. Brett Hebel is a pretty good player for a 15 year old kid. He's got the potential to be a big name player. Yea he's got some things to work on but what 9th grader doesn't? i think if he works on his skating along with his other skills, he'll be fine. He's got the size to play after high school. I do know that the kid works pretty hard, working out on a daily basis with his fellow teamates. I say good luck to guys like this just to prove their critics wrong.

Actually i am not from a school that gets beat by horrible single a teams but from a school that beats them all the time. And hebel wont go anywhere. He got drafted in the 7th round of the whl draft its not the nhl draft he sucks and he will never go to a higher level than juuniors.
