Anoka vs GR in January 2008

Post by hockey59 »

Boblee..."the bullet will hit the bone" in 7AA when Anoka & Grand Rapids clash in January 08 up in Grand Rapids. Besides UMD recruit John O'Neill, the THawks will need to contend with the following players...it will be fun and I hope to get a chance to chat with you in GR.

Forward Cory Belisle - has played 3 years of varsity hockey and tallied 98 career points, and has an invite to the Elite League.

Forward Berkley Scott - has played 2 years of varsity hockey and tallied 56 career points and has an invite to the Elite League.

Defenseman Jeff Lesmeister made the MN National 15 Select team and the Final 51 for MN Select 16 & 17 and has an invite to the Elite League.

Defenseman James Campbell was an alterate to the MN National 15 Select team prior to suffering a devastating injury in November 2005, but is now fully recovered, had a great varsity season during 2006-2007...is an intimidating hitter at 6'4" and 200 lbs and has a try-out for the Elite League on June 30th.

Goalie JD Wells started almost 1/2 of the varsity games for Anoka last year.

What are you talking about? I never said anything to push negative light on any of the Anoka players.

7AA

BOBLEE...You evidently mis-interpeted my post...you are the most-pro Grand Rapids poster on Minnhock...I actually like that...its important to support your team...O'Neill & Scott played some summer hockey with Rob Roy & Matt Jerulle (sp) on the LS Stars in 2002 & 2003...they also played against Sam Rendle from the Northern Wings (back in the day)...Anoka in 7AA is something they had no control over...but it certainly spices up the soup in 7AA next season...as I said earlier...I hope to meet you someday...next season will be very competitive in 7AA.

I hope you get the memo because he will dominate. Nobody stands a chance against dano jacques. may i add to The_Truths's post "second overtime game winning hat-trick to beat S.T.A." I dont think rapids can beat that, so leave, i dont want to see you quote me again. ever.

I agree with Thieves on Nico as the choice; however, it appears his name can be added to what looks to be a growing list of potential early departures for this upcoming season to the USHL:

Jake Hansen
Jake Youso
Aaron Crandall
Nick Larson
Brady Hjelle
Drew LeBlanc
Keegan Flaherty
Seth Helgeson
Taylor Johnson
Nico Saccheti
Mike Fink

Jared Festler?

These are all unconfirmed and compiled based on what's been noted on other sites, but if the majority of these end up being true, it seems Section 7A/7AA takes a bit of a hit.

My early opinion is that 7A and 7AA kids have alot to prove this year! Not sure if they are there yet, but there is some potential for some great hockey players!! I'm already excited for the up and coming season!!
