For the last 3 years, the HRL - Twin Cities holds a charity Wiffleball tourney in Hopkins to raise money for Make-a-Wish - 100% of all profits go to them. The first year they actually held it at Midway Stadium, opened up the concession stands and whole bit (ie - BEER!)... but it was on Labor Day weekend, and it rained, so it didn't really gain much steam until last year. This year it takes place on Saturday, August 11.
It sounds like a goofy event, but it's a pretty good time. They run their league with full baserunning and all of that, but the tourney is more of a backyard type of game... hit it past this line it's a single, this line double, etc (I think the fence is at 90 feet). The key is pitching because they use this ball, not this one.... wicked curves! Also, getting guys who can actually catch the ball helps.
Anyway, I think it has been a $100 registration for teams of 3-5, and it might be cool to have some Minnhock representation. Odds are I'll end up putting together a team of dorks here at work, but I also thought I'd throw some feelers out here to see if there was any interest here. It really is a good time.

I thought I'd drag this thread back to the top of the board one more time (ok, maybe more than one!), since the registration deadline for the 3rd annual "Wifflin' for Wishes" wiffleball tournament is rapidly approaching. These have done a great job raising money for Make-A-Wish Minnesota the past 2 years, and a good time is had by all. Get your team of 3-5 players entered, and see if you have what it takes to hang with Govs' very own "Team L.O.F.T." (odds are, you probably have a lot more than what it really takes to hang with us... we suck).
