should you rejoice over something that should have happened 3 years ago, or is relieved a better term? timmy is the ONLY one who can turn this diaster around.trf now has its coach, they have the facality, there is only one more piece to this puzzle that needs to be put in place, tim knows what that is and even tho it will be a hard decision to make , for tim, and for the programs sake ,i PRAY HE MAKES IT.

Aaron Johnson is following in his dad's footsteps. His Dad has been a coach for many years. He has also been associated with Minnesota Hockey and the Minnesota High School Hockey League.

Aaron was a finalist for Mr. Hockey in his playing days.

I hope the whacky Orono folks will allow this young man to settle in and get established. I have no doubt he will be a great coach for years to come.

Good Luck Aaron!

Seriously, Orono Hockey is beginning to resemble the NJ Devils. What does a coach get for bringing a team to State and winning his section's coach of the year? Fired

That is my point.

There will be a learning curve for Aaron. However, he has been around a lot of good coaches, including his dad. Orono needs to allow this young man the opportunity to develop as a coach. I have no doubt he will reach out and get involved with the youth program as well.

Not True.

We did lose one game against Duluth Marshall 4-3 while he was here. So, he was 2-1. Wins agains St Cloud Cathedral(5-0), and Grand Rapids(6-5).

Mpls West

Post by BlueLiner »

Any word on who may take over at Mpls West? Looking at their roster from last year, they may not look too bad coming into this season but looks like they will graduate a lot of players after this year. I wonder if the feeder system is ready to handle the upcoming void? This could maybe be a decent thing for 1 year and then it may be in trouble.

It would be a very tough place to coach I would think. With everyone in the cities living in the suburbs it will be tough. I think you are going to find in 10 years there will be the suburban schools and everyone else just because numbers will dictate this.

Greenwave - how are the wave going to be this year? I suspect they will have a strong team with great goaltending. I believe they will be the second best team behind the Warriors.

I hope it is not the individual with the initials J.B. or last years coach - They need to find someone who can turn that mess around. If not they will never have any chance.

Minnetonka is signed, sealed and delivered, with Tavis MacMillan, who spent the last seven or eight years at UA-Fairbanks.

By the old Admiral are we talking Jon Bittner?

Bittner will do a good job with the program. We all learn from past experience, and hopefully he'll have some administrative support this time around. 8)
