I know that faribault for sure loses there top 2 goalies, their first line, and their top defensive pair all who were seniors and could still lose defenseman Seth helgeson to the NDTP

Helgeson will not play for the NTDP program, but the USHL is probably a strong possibility.

Here's my take on the what i see as the contending teams in no particular order.

Century. Many keys losses but return Knutson, Faupel Ordahl. Question is can the younger kids step up and replace gradualted talent. Will probably not be able to run and gun with teams like in the past.

Mayo. Thauwald and Tom Alexander were two of the better sophomores in the conference. Need others to step up. Goaltending?

Albert Lea. Return a nice nucleus in Royce, Woodside Dokken, Bowman Smerud. Waalkens very good in net. Loss of Walton, Arendt Hanson and Hegwood will hurt.
Probably the hardest working and best coached team in the league

West. Returns the most firepower in the league with Litchfield, Leivermann and Anderson returning after combining for 160 pts last year. Should be deeper up front but have a few ? on defense.

Faribault. Return goals scorers Smuda and Pavek. If Helgeson leaves see ya.

Owatonna should be a formidable Big 9 opponent over the next two years. Lots of experience coming back and a goaltender that has a penchant for winning the big ones.
Don't sweat the small stuff.
It's all small stuff.
