It's funny, most people haven't seen both of these kids play. I guess the same goes for the other polls as well.
Good stuff Boblee. This one came down to the wire.
I figured the Internet Cafe section at the Roseau Legion would have made a more robust move to push young Oliver over the top. Ladies Night may have captured the attention of some voters

Tyler Barnes has a definite future in hockey. As someone who should know, my job is to observe these kids at all levels of play. Tyler Barnes has continued to show his upside by shining at several camps and tournament games over the summer. While Nick Oliver is an excellent High School player, one more year of high school hockey will determine how good he can or will be. These comments are shared among many regional scouts.
Long-tem bet = Barnes!

Barnes by a nose!
Barnes is a scorer. All coaches know it is difficult to find pure scorers. Consistency is nice, but I'll take a kid who can put the puck in the back of the net in bunches and from any angle. As both of these young men progress, the goaltending will be better too. With that said, I see Mr. Barnes with the knack to get er done!

Heh heh. Some people don't plan this "I'm a new poster" thing very well. Especially when I start checking the IP's they post from.breakout wrote:Did someone come on with three different monikers?
One moniker with two posts and two monikers with one post. All three of the posts on one page.

I don't know if I'd call the practice of multiple nicknames posting from the same IP in an attempt to solidify whatever opinion they hold as ironic. This whole "I agree with _____" thing where they share an IP is more dishonest than ironic.breakout wrote:Should we call it irony?east hockey wrote:Heh heh. And then some protest when I bring the issue up. Hey, the solution is simple; each user only needs one user name. Don't like that rule? Fine, Mitch or I can deal with that, also. An IP ban always takes care of the problem when a "subtle suggestion" doesn't suffice.

I meant that as a tongue and cheek comment
I am all for 1 user name = 1 IP address
