07-08 Game Schedules

Post by SEhockeyDAD »

How many know their favorite team's schedule? As for Mayo;

They play North Metro Stars 2nd game of the season Nov. 15 at the Stars. Both Lakeville teams Thanksgiving weekend at Lakeville, at Centennial Nov. 29th, home vs. Blake Dec. 13th and the Schwann Cup Dec. 26th-28th.

Solid Big 9 after New Year's until playoffs; it'd be nice to have some non-conference shortly before tournament time, but it seems to go that way every year for Mayo.

Seems kind of far off right now....

I know that the MSHSL site just recently was reset for the 07-08 school year... So some teams have their schedules up now. I always feel bad when I see a team post their schedule pre-reset by MSHSL and have to do so again afterwards...

There was some talk about adding a game or two to the hockey limit again - 26 or 27 games I think - but not sure what happened with this? It may not happen until 08-09 I suppose if at all.

Also - now it's hard to know where to look for a team's schedule... Between MaxPreps (Strib), MSHSL, various other web entities, and a new MGHCA (Coaches Assn) offering coming on-line it will be interesting...

Another good resource is Minnesota-scores.com. From what I've seen, they do the best job of keeping track of schedules and result. Unfortunately, they do not keep individual statistics.

According to their website, they had the results of 1,670 of the 1,671 games played last season.

SEHockeyDad, How good are Mayo's young players? I'm asking about the 8th/9th graders. Looks like you got Ruzinski from us and Century gets a new goalie from Int'l Falls. Do you think she play in front of Maidl?

I heard a rumor of a Texas player but it turns out that she is 11 and her older brother is the high school player. I don't think we get anybody moving up from youth hockey. You might call this a 'continue to be building year'. :D We are comfortable with our second year coach, so, what's the word on your new coach? First time head coach?
