I haven't seen it...but I'm pretty darn impressed now.

It's crazy what some people think of and with a lot of practice can make it work.

The part I thought was great was the golf ball he hit too... that is NOT as easy as it looks, if you're not Tiger Woods that is...

I know this probably isn't the ideal place to post stuff like this (a little off topic) but I thought it was pretty amazing...

2 years ago Ryan Hartwell from Lakeville playing Junior Gold A scored a goal with the same move. It has happened more then people think and at a younger age then most would beleave.

To be honest, I'm not too surprised that this has been attempted at younger/other levels and equally makes sense that a Jr Gold A kid could pull this off. Some of the most talented kids I ever saw played Jr Gold for various reasons, and I understand that the game is not one big fight anymore as it was to some extent some years ago?

At the higher levels, I agree that there is less time and space to attempt something like this in an actual game. I wouldn't advise that a player try it in any setting, as the likelihood for failure is just far too great. Better to play the % I think and actually get something on net, but it is impressive to see showcasing of the hand/eye skills, etc. I think.

What is the rule about height of stick off the ice in contact with the puck? Is it shoulders I assume? I honestly don't even know, but I would assume that if you get up above your head the play would be blown dead in a actual game situation - not sure what would happen in a shootout, but how often does a shootout even happen in HS? Never, except tourney play to break ties maybe, but MSHSL rules don't allow those to count anyway - game ends in a tie.

I was watching that Gopher game when the kid from Michigan pulled that off. I remember thinking "what just happened, what did I just see?"...

Goals like that remind me that as with deflections sometimes there's not a whole lot you can do... But, they all count and can win games, etc...

My favorite part has to been when he shouts "screen" at his 3rd basemen.

Are you kidding me? Dale Gunderson, Grand Rapids JV coach can do all of that stuff, blind folded. I don't think he works, I think he lives on the course

When the girls get on the ice before practice.... a few of them always try to blade the puck. Good Humor.

Can someone provide a link to this video if it goes up? I missed a few of the shots standing back at the scorer's table. Thanks!
It's up on Facebook and should be on YouTube soon but for now:
