If i remember correctly there is seating on both sides, both ends, and standing room on both of the ends.

I like the arena's with higher ceilings, must be my claustrophobia or something.
That's probably why I like:
Hippodrome
Miner's Memorial (Virginia)
Wakota (So.St.Paul)
Aldrich
Hibbing

Every rink in MN is a good rink to watch HS hockey.
Just one man's opinion, of course.

Hibbing has a nice facility. Got to like the old school charm of Coloraine

I can accept the other four, but I don't get the DECC. Perhaps for tourney games (like Mariucci), but on a night in night out basis, it seems to spacious. Kind of like the Coliseum, it's almost cavernous without a full crowd.
I would vote it as one of the best college rinks to be a fan (kinda small rink for the players though.).

An arena I forgot to mention, but I think is one of the nicest around is the St. Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights.
It's got great sight lines and lately some great hockey being played. The only down side is a subpar speaker system.

Nice, but "sterile".... the place is too new and doesn't have the character of most of the other rinks being thrown around here.

The problem I have with Bronco is the steps.
Climb up to get in.
Climb down to watch the game.
Once there I usually stay down stairs in the rink.

Aldrich.
ESPECIALLY for the HM/WB game, it's just insane. But who doesn't already know that.

i'd have to say some of the best arenas are Baudette, Hallock, and Red Lake Falls.
You may need to bundle up in six layers to watch the game, but that rock hard ice can make even some of these 'slower' teams move pretty quick
