Jared Festler
Just saw that he got 4, count it, 4 shorthanded goals in Lincoln's game today. Nice to see this kid make a great transition into the USHL. Must have been a great show in their 7-5 win.

I don't think that Jared is a good example to cite the capabilities of a particular school. Mr. Festler has always played with a passion and fire that if you watched him - you knew that he would figure a way to win. I would bet, that his coaches at LF would be the first to say that Jerad benefited from a number of coaches in addition to what they taught him.

I am ecstatic about this kid. Saw him play once in his first exhibition game last Friday and he played alright and had a shootout goal, but he obviously needed a week to get adjusted
1 assist, 4 shorthanded goals, 3 of them unassisted. I'm no expert, but 3 unassisted shorthanded goals must mean he singlehandedly took the puck from the other team and skated in and scored. Wish I were there to have seen it. Oh well I'm sure I'll see a lot of that from this kid this year. So excited to see how he does in the USHL. Anyone who's seen him play a lot, what makes him so good? He doesn't appear to be a top-notch speedster. Just excellent hockey instincts or what?
