Thanks to Constantine, they secured Rome by AD 312, PB now leads the charge onto the landscape of Minnesota's HS gridiron.

Let me surmise that his campaign will not end up on the "thin book" shelves...

Ahhh, Constantine the Great.

Truly, the first "Great One".

An inspiration to all those who fight the phobic persecutors of Catholic schools as he was the first to put a stop to it in that little entity known as The Roman Empire.

Maybe an inspiration for a new thread come hockey season; "The Way to Constantinople"

Not only could this thread be a haven for rhetoric, propoganda, enlightenment, and personal salvation but it could be an archive of actual history. Dare I say, it could be the genesis of a paradigm shift in regards to a Pagan's perceptions about Catholics and their role in the modern high school athletic association.

35-0 so before half.

We have all of this nonsense in Hockey and Baseball that protects our poor witto babies from a lopsided score.

We have running time in the 3rd for a 6 goal lead or more in hockey and the ever popular 10 run rule in baseball that the mushbrained ultra liberals have cramed down our throats.

Where's all the compassion for our poor witto football players. We play stop time all the way no matter what. Heck,we have refs calling false starts with the 4th stringers in and the score 52-7.

I hate the 'mercy rules' in hockey and baseball but I wonder how football escaped the bleeding hearts who have taken over athletics.

Well, here ya go, PB. Ask and ye shall receive.

I forgot about this thread. Funny stuff by you guys.

So,there you go. "Mercy rules " now in every major sport. Thanks mommy.

Now our witto babies will be much better protected from hurt feelings.

How about getting something put in for swimming and track when somebody is way ahead.

I can just see it:

"Stop running son , you are way behind and we are declaring the race over "

"But sir, I just want to finish the competition , I dont really care about the margin of defeat, I just want to do my best and finish the race and try hard until the end"

"No, no we will have none of that crap ....and besides your mother wouldnt hear of it".

Fubar.

Ogee is right to be cautious.

Especially when its obvious people dont have much else to do other than to play tricks.

I mean, where do you suppose the 35 points came from? Why not 25 or 40, why 35?

But here's what really is choice: If the margin goes back to 30, we stop the clock again.

What?!!!!

I thought the game was out of reach at 35.

FUBAR!
