On Saturday, October 13th the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs will play host to the Northern Michigan University Wildcats in the second day of the First Annual Superior Showcase. On Friday night Minnesota-Duluth played to a 2 to 2 OT tie against the Lake Superior State University Lakers while the Northern Michigan Wildcats defeated the Michigan Tech University Huskies by the score of 3 to 2 before traveling down to Duluth. Will Northern Michigan complete a sweep of WCHA teams or will Minnesota-Duluth stay unbeaten on the year?
Thoughts or predictions on this match-up of CCHA vs. WCHA?

We sit two rows behind the opposing team's bench and were yelling "We Want Reid..We want Reid" after the Dogs lit up their "starting" goalie for the fourth goal tonight. They replaced their starter with the other guy (can't remember the name, don't care), so I yelled at their coach "you put in the wrong guy, you put in their your stringer!!".boblee wrote:I hope Reid Ellingson plays...

Of course, had Reid went in, some reminder of the past three 7AA finals would have been mentioned...heh heh.
The game was a blast. Winning 4-0 was always fun. Thump in the head to the two people who thought the Wildcats (aka Huskie rejects) were going to win this one. Ye of little faith.

Bring on Jan Brady State.
