So real fans refer to him as "AD" while the make believe, faker fans refer to him as "AP". As a Big XII fan I saw plenty of him, mostly him running all over my Cornhuskers. Who cares how people refer to him, it doesn't matter, what matters is that he has 6 of the teams 9 TD's. We need to ride him until he is exhausted, then ride him a little more. That is the only way we will win. I happen to prefer "AP"HShockeywatcher wrote:I wouldn't go that far, maybe people that didn't watch him in college, but not the majority of real fans. He's been AD for years. Just been AP recently.

As a fan, it is easy to be critical of coaches.
Denny Green was somewhere around 100-70 in his career with the Viks.
His teams were almost always competitive, and sometimes pretty good.
The bad thing about being competitive is that eventually, the fans want it all.
At the end, most were calling for his head.
His tenure is looking pretty good now.
Maybe Childress will wind up being a legendary coach.
I just don't feel that will be the case.
Go Viks.

Guys with college success don't always have NFL success(Steve Spurrier, Lou Holtz)pacman wrote:What do you guys think of these guys for possible coaching possibilities?
Marty Schotenheimer
Bill Cohwer
Bob Stoops from Oklahoma
Pete Carrol from USC
Pete Carroll was an NFL coach but not a very good one. Wasn't he suppose to be the Vikes coach before Denny? Maybe it is time for his second chance? Billicheck wasn't very good with Cleveland either but seems to have things going well in his second chance.
I never liked Bill Cowher much but he knew what he was doing. I guess I didn't like seeing the same pouty lip my daughter tries to give me when she doesn't like something, or his slobber all over everything.
Schotenheimer might work. He is strong in the running game which seems to be the way this team is set up. Maybe make AD the next LT.

None of those guys can win without players either.
If AP doesnt fall to the Vikings, this team would not even be competitive.
We can fire coach after coach but who has been drafting QB's that cant throw accurately, small WRs that cant catch, D-linemen that cant sack the QB and slow , pastey linebackers from Iowa?
Thats the problem.
