to say that tartan will be terrible and be ranked behind NORTH, AND MOUNDSVIEW, are you kidding
Mellow out, child. People have opinions and you need to respect that they can say what they BELIEVE in saying. They are not degrading Tartan in any way. Instead, they are trying to prove a point since Tartan lost a chunk of players from a team that was average last year. If you do the math, that means that their team is likely to be worse or at best, the same. Hence, this is why people ranked them as so.
If you want to make a rivalry against the Polars, then go for it, I have no problem with it. But when it comes to section time, you better be wishing yourself good luck against the Pioneers or Bears.
Correction, Tartan will be MUCH better than last year, the only player they are going to miss is Wood, they have the core of there Defense and forwards coming back, and they have Gierke for a goaltender this year so they should be solid, and to try and tell me not to rip on someones opinion, are you kidding? look at all the hill lovers on here constantly rip on other peoples opinions about there team, there the ones you should be talking to, not me.

Change that to "praying" for good luck.
Guess God had other plans when our prayers were'nt answered for Furne and Westie to stay with Tartan. Bless em both. I wish em luck at Hill.

I was trying to degrade Tartan in every way.
HollaFamer, you need to sit back, relax, and take a few deep breaths. Now tell yourself five times, "Tartan is horrible at hockey. Nobody cares about the match-up between North and Tartan. It doesn't matter that Tartan has been skating at Acceleration since September, because the only thing that gives you is endurance and a slightly better stride. Tartan needs skilled hockey players, and Acceleration isn't going to "grow" that skill over a few months. I need to go back to class and study up on sentence structure and grammar in english class."
Sick - hillfan and PPG Glad to see you have game dates on your calander circled in bold when you play Tartan . According to you guys this has become the big rivalry to watch. So when you lost to Tartan in the past and when you lose to Tartan in the future do you always use the excuse that you are rebuilding and reloading? I expect Hill to give Tartan a good game. How can you not be pressured to win with the talent you recieve from Hills feeder programs such as Woodbury, Stillwater, Mounds View, and, oh yea, Tartan.
I cheered on your team in State and would do it again - so knock off the cocky attitude and maybe more people would respect your club for what it is - and not the false idol you make it out to be.
Oh by the way - when Tartan gets final permit approval to serve beer at all home games I would love to meet you and buy you a cold one.
Looking forward to another one of your intelligent responses

Oh sh!t, we've angered the Tartan nation. Everyone calm down and let this sleeping dog lie. When Tartan gets angry we know what can happen. Sorry sorry...
I'm a little confused here. Having watched Tartan's fans over the years I assumed Tartan already served beer at thier games.
As for this year, there is no question the Pioneers are in a rebuilding year. They graduated a ton of talent from a team that got embarrassed in the state tournament last year. Without a true feeder program, how can you expect Hill to compete with the other neighboring powerhouses? Hell, we are just a small catholic school who really should opt to move to Class A and try our luck there, but St. Thomas would just shatter our dreams as well. Why don't they just add another Class and give tiny programs like ours a chance??
We look at the games with Tartan as a measuring stick of our program. We go into that game knowing a win is highly unlikely (but we do watch the movie Miracle before for inspiration) but we just hope by playing the best we can see how the game should be played. Programs like Rapids & Edina all point to Tartan as the program they modeled thiers after. So to get the opportunity to play Tartan twice during the year allows us the chance to dream what may happen someday. We are not thrilled that we now have to deal with them in our section...we can already hear thier legion of fans chanting, "season's over" when they knock us out of the play-offs.
As for showing support for our team last year during the tournament, we'd really prefer you stopped. You see, people who truly support our program understand what it's about and are loyal. We would prefer that you stand in that long, long line over there and cast stones our way. If we haven't earned your respect by now, we never will. We relish being a school that evokes some emotional response. Some people respect our school & our athletic programs, and others, not so much.
Well, we all hope you & the Tartan faithful show a little mercy on Hill this year & we hope they serve pretzels with the beer.
oops forgot to add you to the list sparlimb
yea i'll buy you a beer too but that's it
t
Thanks ppg got a chuckle out of your response.
The beer has always been served at Tartan It was just out of the trunks of cars - now our athletic director has decided to cash in and make it legal. Problem is, if you're 16 and under you can't order more than two at once and has to be 3/2.

O sorry did tartan even beat any of the team them here last year??
Who's teaching this class at hill? A teacher transfer from Tartan? Warning - don't drive too close to Greenway and 10th on your way to the Hill , the ghetto talk seems to be contagious.
With that kind of talk just think of the funds we could raise for Walk For a Cure with IMissMyHockey organizing next years event - 200k, 500k?
He must have gone to open skating at Tartan & enjoyed a beverage or two.
LOL
Like I warned, don't drive too close to our hood. We can't risk not getting the liquor license approved with you Hill guys wandering over this way.
my bad fellas, I dont go to hill though, I dont even like hill. I was just trying to get the point across that Thorhockey doesn't know what he is talking about cuz did how many teams in this section did Tartan even beat last year

Govs93's ability to stay classy has been noted. I will mention this to my son and make sure we cheer you on through sections (My allegiance only goes so far though).
