 Hill vs WBL is not that big of a deal outside of Hill and WBL.
I agree, a regular season high school hockey game will never bring in the numbers a Wild game would. The Wild have a much broader audience than high school hockey.

Personally I much rather watch the Hill v.s. W.B.L. game then the Wild game.
You can watch the Wild a few times a week from October to April. I'm not sure if the Wild do have a much broader audience. Hockey fans in Minn tend to stick to the roots of hockey.

To think that any HS hockey game gets more attention then a NHL team is pure ignorance. I agree, most ppl in MN like to watch hs hockey but the Wild are nationally known. Any NHL team will have more publicity than a HS or midget team... Get real.

On a seperate note, I think they should televise that game. It is a good rivalry and both teams are pretty good.

FSN is probably afraid of having images burned into their cameras from those friggin' orange breezers WBL wears.

I don't blame them.

I dunno.

In "Ice Dreams" Lou Nanne says that TV used to pay more for the HS Tournament rights than they did for the North Stars rights for the entire season.

HM vs WBL is a big deal to all HS hockey fans.

Most of your Wild fans are also and first HS fans. WBL vs HM might be just as big a draw as one of 80 Wild games.

I'm not sure where Hill is located, but if you call them and tell them you are a hockey player they will send a limo to pick you up.

Hill/WBL is a great rivalry and FSN should televise it. If FSN doesn't I'm sure there own TV station will air it. Hill has it's own TV station right? Just like the Yankee's with the YES network, right?

It's conveniently located between Johnson, Stillwater, Woodbury, North St. Paul, and Tartan to make recruiting trips easier.

I disagree with this. I know a lot of people that are MN Wild fans that couldn't care less about high school hockey. This is why I'm apart of this board, I have no one else to talk about high school hockey with!

If high school hockey was more popular than the Wild then why have the Wild sold out every single game since they began at 18,000+? Go ahead and put the Hill vs WBL game in the Xcel, I guarantee it wouldn't fill the place. Look at the attendance totals for the Schwan Cup. They don't nearly fill the Xcel. Last year's AA state final was an announced sellout but I couldn't figure out how because there were empty seats all over the place. I see people wearing MN Wild apparel all the time but I very rarely see people wear a high school hockey shirt. Maybe cause I'm not in high school anymore but still - I think I've made my point.

And no I'm not mad so please don't send a very defensive reply my way. Just stating my own opinion.

Has anybody heard anything yet on scheduling. Hockey is right around the corner and I or I'm sure all of us would like to know.
Thanks

Okay, here is a chance to get the schedule. During the Gophers game on FSN tonight you can text a question. Well, let's text that they put the HS hockey night schedule up tonight. Maybe if they get enough text messages they'll consider. Text to 612-860-4674. Ofcourse, use that number too if you want to ask the all wise Woog a Gopher related question.

That would imply that Woog knows something about the game of hockey.

Ha the schedule has already been posted on the FSN site and also posted in another thread that you can find here: http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic. ... 84&start=0

The first game is Eden Prarie at Eagan.
