Thanksgiving weekend tournaments

Post by keepitreal »

Where are the tournaments this weekend and who are the teams in them?

I've pieced this together from the schedules; post additional tourneys or corrections:

Maple Grove: Maple Grove, Hopkins, Burnsville, Cloquet

Buffalo: Buffalo, Brainerd, Elk River, Bemidji

Edina: Edina, Breck, Shakopee, Blake

Duluth: Duluth Northern Stars, St. Paul Blades, Wright Cty River Hawks, River Lakes

Thief River Falls: TRF, North Metro, Marshall, Crookston

Lakeville: Rochester Century, Rochester Mayo, Lakeville S, Lakeville N

St Cloud Icebreakers(?): STC Icebreakers, St. Francis, Austin, Sartell-Sauk Rapids

Holy Angels: AHA, Blaine, Benilde-St Margarets, ?; not sue if AHA found a 4th team for their tournament; looks like they each team will play each other in two game series starting Wednesday night

Anyone know who is playing who and at what time in the Maple Grove tournament today?

cloquet vs hopkins at 5:00 pm
Thanks, I found out that Cloquet plays at 5:00, but still didn't know against who. This should be a very evenly matched game.

Burnsville 1
Hopkins 2 Ot Shootout

Great game, both teams had many scoring chances. This was a true goalie duel Hall (soph) for Burnsville and Billadeau (soph) for Hopkins.

They played through a 8 minute stop time OT then went to a shootout. Cara Johnson (soph) from hopkins shot first and showed why she might have the best hands in the state. Hall stopped all other hopkins shooters except her. Billadeau shut down all 5 Burnsville shooters.

Game #2
Maple Grove 5
Cloquet 6

Championship Saterday at 5:00

St. Francis/North Branch 5, Sartell/Sauk Rapids 2

As far as I know this is the only score that's been posted anywhere.
