1990 Rockets D1 Commitments?

Post by breakout »

I overheard a conversation about the 1990 Rockets a couple of weeks ago. The person claimed that there are 9 high school players that have committed to D 1 schools off that team with more to come.

I heard three names that stuck in my brain...........Derrick Stephan, Jake Gardiner and Danny Mattson.

Can anyone verify that? Rest of the cast?

Fenagie (sp?), Leddy (Yes he is a 1991 but he played on that team), Raiola, Gleason, and Keegan Flahrty (sp). There will probably be others too.

I am not sure if Raiola and Flaherty have been offered.

Feinhage and Leddy make it 6.

If I heard and am reading correctly:

Stephan = Badgers
Gardiner = Badgers
Mattson = Sioux
Barnes = Badgers
Feinhage = Sioux
Leddy = Gophers
Gleason = Sioux
Raiola = Minutemen
Fink = Sioux

If there are nine as advertised, that comes close to McBain's 88s. I believe there were 11 from that team.

I hadn't heard about Raiola. Checked it out, it shows UMass on Heisenberg's blog.

Are there other players not listed that played on that team who have a good chance of a D1 deal? Those in the know.............any ideas?

1990 minnesota rockets

a few more players from that team that will most likely go D1
-keegan flaherty (now with green bay in ushl)
-sam coatta(very good junior at minnetonka)
-Bo Dolan-(hill murray, drafted into ushl)
that would make it 12, ahead of the mcbain 88's

Flaherty is a senior playing in the USHL, correct? Any offers?

How about Coatta?

Bo Dolan is finishing his senior year, as Captain at Hill Murray before joining Sioux Falls Stampede.

Joe Gleason was onn the 1990 MN Blades for a short period, then switched onto the 1990 MN Blasters.

Fink was not on any of the teams just mentioned.

I thought Leddy was on the 91 Lightning or the 91 Iceman. Did he play regularly on the 90 Rockets or just when asked if other players were not able to attend?

Leddy was on the 1990 Rockets regularly. He also played with those kids on the 1990 Team Minnesota.

well the title is 1990 rockets... it is a list of players that played for them... if he did in fact play for them for even one season, he is still part of the team.

Dolan will probably get a deal somewhere. He sees the ice well and is good with the puck. Should be a good leader for Hill this year.
