This site will update every Tues Night / Wed Morning.
Check it out.
They seem to have scores updated pretty well. Sure there are a FEW that are missing, but I was amazed as how many scores they have updated.

This Ranking Site myhockeyrankings.com has been around for a few years now, and has done a great job ranking USA AAA and USA Tier II (AA) throughout the country.
I'd say we are lucky (or maybe I should say finally) we have this site for MN Youth Hockey as well.
Their ranking systems is done very well!!!!
Kudos to MNHOCKEYRANKINGS.COM !!!!

Peewee A Max Power Rankings Nov 27th, 2007

Rank. Team (last week's MP Rank)

1. Edina (2)
2. Wayzata (1)
3. Coon Rapids (3)
4. Woodbury (4)
5. Roseau (7)
6. Eden Prairie (10)
7. Chaska (17)
8. Grand Rapids (8 )
9. Lakeville South (5)
10. Eagan (15)
11. Elk River (14)
12. Minnetonka (19)
13. Burnsville (NR)
14. Maple Grove (NR)
15. Anoka (13)
16. Apple Valley (11)
17. Bloomington Jefferson (12)
18. No. St. Paul (16)
19. Lakeville North (20)
20. Blaine (6)

On the Bubble:
Cloquet, Hermantown and Cambridge/Isanti

The Rankings were mixed up quite a bit this week, after many of the Thanksgiving Tournaments and teams playing against other "like skilled" teams.
Many of the "Top 20" teams suffered losses this weekend, but many came back to redeem themselves in their following game(s).

What happened to Duluth East - totally off the radar now.. I assume they have been losing quite a bit...?

Honestly - I kind of forgot about Duluth East.
I think they probably should still be mentioned, but somewhere around 17-20th. But, they should at least still be "On the Bubble/Radar."

they are currently 6-7-0, with "quality wins" over Eden Prairie and Coon Rapids early in the season at their own Pre-Season Tourney.

Your are right on the 2 nice wins early. I don't agree with the mnhockeyrankings.

They have Edina listed 6th...? I think Edina is number 1. (And , no I am not from Edina). The rankings should change pretty drastically tomorrow, when they come out.

I do have to say I like your rankings for sure - Hats off...

I agree that the mnhockeyrankings.com is not all too accurate right now. But, I do think that they will get better once they update tonight. And then even better as the season goes on.

These rankings are based on things kind of like the BCS for football.
It is basically a computer program that takes into account strength of schedule and margin of victory/defeat and then spits out a rating number for each team.

I like it, by doing this it takes out the emotion of a ranking. BUT it also takes out how a team is playing "RIGHT NOW," as I don't THINK that it weighs games based on WHEN the game was played. In other words a game played in Oct will have the same weight, on the rating, as games that will be played in Feb.

I've been following youth hockey for 25yrs (mostly pwa) and still think ranking youth sports is stupid, that said these mnrankings are about 70% wrong because some teams don't post scores so when I went to team websites if both teams don't post then the mnrankings page doesn't have them.

They're kids who cares who's #1 or #50.

Everyone has a right to their opinion.
I respect your opinion and I hope that you can respect other's as well.

I believe the Kids care who is ranked #1 and who is 50th....
I can guarantee that a lot of parents care (maybe they shouldn't but they do) who is ranked where.
I also think that the majority of coaches like to see what other people think of their team and where the teams stack against their peers.

So, those are my opinions on rankings.

Hey Max,

Keep and eye on EGF. They are looking pretty strong this year in PWA.
Let's see how they do in the Moorhead tournament in early Dec.

mnhockeyrankings.com has:
Grand Rapids #2 and Roseau #4 (I think that is who you are talking about)

In MY, Max Power Rankings, I have:
Roseau #5 and Grand Rapids #8

Either way it is the top 2 "Northern MN" teams facing off and should be a VERY GOOD game.
Where is the game being played?
