I doubt "#6 stole the spot light" but she did have a few goals so congrats to her.

Was TJ having an off night or did she just want to pad her assist column and #6 drew the right straw?

Faribault just made our road to state a lot easier.
Albert Lea is the greatest.

I'd like to see a rematch between Northfield and Austin, and Nfld and Albert Lea, now that Northfield has a few games under their belt and are playing quite well.
I would like to see a rematch between Northfield and us. (Faribault) But then I guess that will have to wait. The thing about Highschool hockey, is that as the year goes on, all teams close the goal gap and get better. So basically it makes sections interesting.

The RSI section rankings at this time, would probably give northfield that chance in sections. The chance to beat Austin, to play in the championship against who knows?

The spotlight comment is plain silly, unless you missed the game. However, I was impressed with a few of Austin's other players that stepped up their game. But I just can not see anyone beating AL at this time.

Fairbault, future spoiler, is the greatest.

Agreed on the goal differential in tomorrows game between Northfield and Red Wing. ALL of the teams have "a few games under their belts", so I imagine every team is better this week than they were 2-3 weeks ago. . Don't worry, you'll get your rematch.

I still say Owatonna is pretty good.
Owatonna 6
Faribo 3

I'll put the over/under for total goals in the AL vs. Austin @ 11. :o :o Teams will need to be able to score to beat Austin, because they (we all know who they are) are going to get theirs.
AL 7
Austin 5

Cmon, RSI. You sound like tigertime. KH is the greatest goalie on ice and loves the pressure. She alone will shut down Austin.

OMG, I hope she didn't read your game plan against Austin - gasp!
Faribault 6 Austin 2. We have Austin completely figured out. #2 seed, here we come.

Impressive game, considering you limited Ambroz( an elite player) to 2 points. I ditto everythng RSI said, about this issue. You may also get your chance in the Austin tourney.

Owatonna 6
Fairbault 3
I do believe Faribault will become a better team as the season wears on.

Northfield 5 (Playing pretty good hockey lately)

Hey, Waseca won their first game last night, beating up on Worthington 8-1. It's almost unbelievable, considering Waseca lost their first 4 games by a combined score of 35-4. Worthington must have a ways to go...

I took Waseca's 0-4 record from the MSHSL website  GIGO I guess

I have 2 questions...
1.) What was the score of the Austin/AL scrimmage?
2.) What is today's date?

Coincidence?

Congrats Austin, but this must be some type of a mistake. Are you sure you played the Albert Lea All-time, All star team of 07-08. You must of played their U14 team or was #5/ KH hurt?

This leaves the section wide open. :D

Oh yea, by the way,

Faribault ( the spoiler) 4
Owatonna 2.

Congrats girls, you played very well. That was great. I now realize I mistyped my prediction. I meant Faribault 4 Owatonna 2. :D By the way, Austin lost to Owatonna.

Faribault is the greatest tonight.

Austin also had 3 goals called off by the owatanna refs.(we all know how much you like them)

By the way, Faribault lost to Austin.

I second that. Austin played very well. Also, in case you were wondering after your game Falcons, TJ has NOT lost her fire. I'd like to have her first goal on tape.

Remeber, Austin beat Faribault by 5 goals.

7 DAYS until your in OUR barn.

Any news on the Northfield / Redwing game?
I know there was bad weather in the area that could pospone games.

The Nfld/Redwing game was postponed. The roads were terrible that night.

I'm new around here so I don't know how often this is said but I just want to say that this section is an exciting one. A lot of the teams are closely matched and games can go either way (but then again any game can go any way). It'll be fun to see how things play out this season.

Welcome skate r die, you must be from Northfield or Redwing. It is nice to see some new blood here. It is even nicer to see new blood lines in Albert Lea.  I know it is getting old, but it is so much fun.

By the way, nicely stated skate r die. Tuesday night showed us you can not win with talent alone. There are always other variables that can come into play.

Tongiht's predictions:
Austin 9 Century 0. (boring)

Albert Lea's All-time All star team of 07-08, 5
Owatonna, 2
I think Austin probably awakened a giant. If AL was to lose, this could be the end. I am still puzzled how Austin won? Someone had to be hurt. What was the score of that scrimmage?

Winona 5
Faribault 2 Hint: I am going to try this again. I may be onto something.

Tomorrow;
Northfield 10
Waseca 0 ( boring)

Faribault could be the ultimate spoiler.

How could you be puzzled that AL got beat. TJ and the Austin girls understand passing and team play is an integral part of the sport. They took team play and gave AL a hopefully awakening lesson. A few of the AL stars forget this basic princple. Hopefully they will remember tonight or they will go down again. The talent is there, the concept of team play was lacking. NO I IN TEAM!!!! The only injury I saw was some EGO's.

Not really. Is this really the Albert Lea All-time, All star team playing.
Seriously, what is the problem, is #5 and KH having a bad night? :D

Must of been the refs.

Faribault the greatest spoiler.

Nice work again tonight ladies.

I don't even know where to begin.....
It's not as if the team lacks the talent to have won these last couple games, but they are certainly underperforming right now. That said, I am confident things will settle down and they will start winning the games that they should win.

p.s. I was wrong about Owatonna!
