Anyone think that Okposo will be in the running for the Hobey Baker this year.

If he continues to play the way he did against R.P.I, 1Gp=3pts

He will definitely be a candidate, but my dark horse pick is Wheeler. I see him stepping up big time this year.

Yeah, I was just thinking about Wheeler today and I thought he played pretty good last night. I would not be surprised if he has an awesome season.

????

Don't forget your team has to be winning to even be considered. Yes, Minnesota has the talent to have someone running, but at this point, how the hell can you consider anyone????

Kyle Turris will be there and will be in the voting for it, count on it...he probably won't win; as he shouldn't but he will be in the running, count on it!

They aren't exactly losing either.. they are 5-4.. not great but above 500 and its only ten games into the season..

Not only is Okposo not a Hobey candidate, it seems like something's wrong with him, mentally and or physically. He can't even stand up. He's falling every time he gets the puck, and when he doesn't fall, the puck's just taken away from him. Now his linemates are suffering (Barriball). He has actually become a liability on this team, coughing the puck up right in front of his own net in the final minute at Mankato. It's sad because the Gophers need him to be a leader of this team and I hope he can figure this out.

yep he is looking pretty ordinary for a D1 player

Wheeler had game last night that was long in coming - that's what I'm talking about.!

You need to check your math. 5-4 does not equal 10 games.

I wasn't taking the game against the US Under 18 team into consideration since it was an exhibition game, my bad though..

He may be a finalist but I think this year's winner will either be a repeat or his teamate TJ. The Hobey Baker winner goes to school at UND again this year.

Hopefully he can get it moving forward. He looked great last year.

Might be watching his buddy Toews on T.V. too much and daydreaming.

He won't make it to the bigs if he doesn't step it up.

Yeah, this post was right at the beginning of the season. He has not been playing well at all. I think he tries to carry the puck too long. He needs to get rid of it faster to generate something.

He played off Hirsch last year and it worked. He has solid linemates.

Okposo works hard.
I wouldn't count him out this early.
He will have some big games yet.
He'll be there at the end.
