I waited for Lent and Thanksgiving too,
Away went the Nightmare and there was nothing left to do.

Next to come along was a thing called a Dream,
It has started out slow but soon may gain steam.

Whether it survives is All in his hands,
But one thing it needs is some posters in the stands.

If the meter is tickled, the lock stays away,
Even if there’s religion mixed into the fray.

It may go Up For Grabs, or just Against The Grain,
But it shouldn’t be long before we see the rotating brain.

Now the season is young but I’m getting old,
I’m running out of chances for that elusive 8A gold.

So let’s play the schedule and see what goes down,
Who wearing flannel will get to evacuate their town.

For in the end it’s about who’z Feeling Great,
Down to St. Paul On Their Way to Taking State.

We pay tribute to the old threads
And await all that is new
We have fun ideas
But the admins are two

The season is upon us
We cant "Wait Until Lent"
We must formulate new themes
Or forever repent

"The Crusade"has started
Let's no longer refrain
We must find a home
For that rotating brain

Religion and politics are a part
There's always something to say
Unless the subject of our posts
Is the best 4th line in section 1A

So "Grab" it and hold it
"Dream" a "Nightmare"
The section 8 title is the Pirates
If they would only dare

Ive been kind of busy but what do I see?
That rotating brain spinning right in front of me

It fills us with joy to know that it's back
If it were past noon , I'd throw back a jack

To celebrate the brains appearance, yes thats what I'd do
Just seeing it on the thread... "It's Like a Dream Come True"

The 07-08 hockey season has started to dawn,
as it appears that SS is warming up his emoticons .
Soon whole page posts will be coming,
filled with poetry and rhymes.
Telling all of the rest of us… of course,
he was right all the time.
With his committed predictions he’ll be right as rain,
and combined with his wit, along with his rotating brain,
Will he still be pulling that Moorehead train?
I’m sure he’ll irritate a poster or two,
But hey what the hell…it’s “Like a Dream Come True”

Great rhymin boys.

It makes me appreciate just how good everything is going.

Yup, the ryhmes, in conjuction with the shock treatment, have really locked up a whole new attitude in me.

Consider this:

The Twolves still have their 2 wins. Nobody has come along and taken those wins away and you have to give this great franchise a lot of credit for that.

The Twins have gotten rid of their Gold Glove center fielder.... finally. Geez, I was starting to think that his contract would never expire. Also, we wont have to have any more boring discussions about whether Santana should win the Cy Young again, if things work out. Was that getting old or what? Thanks Carl and hope the new ballpark is to your liking.

The admins for the board have been great. Protecting us from all of that parody and satire is like a Godsend. Ooops , I said God. Sorrieeee.

But with Gopher hockey gaining splits with Ancorage and Mich Tech, its all just so great..I mean, "It's Like a Dream Come True"

Well, there you have it.

What a source of Civic pride this will be.

But I was watching the Wild game last night and the folks in the stands didn' t seem to think that the teams performance was too dreamy. Its the first time I have ever heard of any booing going on at the Xcel.

I say good for them. The homer announcers , of course , quickly chided the fans for thier conduct ( they must be board admins in their spare time) but the booing went on.

I love it. If the Wild don't like it, play better. People paying $50-$75 a ticket can do what ever they want.

Good to see the DE for the Vikings failed a steroid test. We havent had anything like that in awhile and I for one miss it.

The Santana trade talk is real exciting. I wish we could get saturated with more news coverage of something that isnt going to happen .

The weather has backed up traffic but what can you do
I'm dreamin of a White Christamas and so far "Its Like a Dream Come True"

You and everbody else tomASS.

We miss ole Roy. We miss our teams being good. But we gotta keep dreaming. Thats what this "Dreams " thread is all about.

Because:

In "Dreams", Roy is still alive
In "Dreams" our threads survive
In "Dreams" our teams are fine
All the time

In "Dreams", in dreeeams

But just before the dawn
I awake and another thread is gone

I cant help it, I cant help it , if I cry
I remember that our teams are gonna die

Its too bad that all these things
Can only happen in my" Dreams"

Only in" Dreams" , in beautiful "Dreams'

Being Norwegian, I know some of you believe our heritage's "deep thinking" is as deep as the well. Problem being the well is shallow and doesn't hold much water....except after the the rain.

Playwright Ibsen said, " That's life! It can harden and it can exalt!" to bring this topic full circle when packerboy states early on, what a difference a day can make.

In true norwegian stoicism (or socialism) everyone is is a hero, "Heroism consists of holding on one minute longer" because what a difference a day can make. Keep Dreaming!

must have been the Friday noon-time aquavit talking. :D

Ok in your video contribution........whose hands are hacking away on the key board??? My guess is AngusYoung based on the fact he always responds in short phrases and even then it would take 5 minutes for him to post the way these hands are attacking the keyboard :D

Well boys, we have invoked the memory of the incomparable Roy Orbison.

The Eurythmics are a welcome addition to our" Dreams " collection.

It is interesting that so many top flight artists chose to make "Dreams" a subject of thier work.

Only trouble is, gee whiz....well Ill let these 2 sing it:

Yes that is exceptional and a classic at nap time.
I have a old 45 rpm copy locked up in my safe deposit box, as it will be a E-bay collectors item some day.

Get with it... Eurythmics? Orbison? C'mon.

If only this one were Diamond Dave instead of the Red Rocker... It'd be like a Dream come true.

Have to say it - I like the way you think - great tune(even without DLR).

Anyone know if they use the word "an" in Rogers?

PB that is also another classic that's worth keeping locked up for safe keeping.
But this one is for our Iron Range friends, as they have dreams as well. We city folks just can't understand a lot of dialect.
