I know Burnsville got romped tonight by Eagan, but dont rule out the Blaze on this, to hold edina for a good while, they just barely got by

you must really be a "blazed" brave to say that after tonights performance

but who ever comes out of section 2 should have a very good chace at winning state

how about rosemount? they have some great players and score a ton of points. i would give them a chance. not to take away from edina and roseau or anything cuz i think those teams are amazing, but lets thrown rosemount in the picture cuz they are gonna win their section if they can stay healthy

Roseau or whoever comes out of section 2

Roseau has amazing scoring ability in Ness and excellent goaltending in Lee...enough said

Section 2
Edina is the front runner, they proved against Burns. that if you take away there lanes and not allow them room to dangle and pass, then they adjust and beat you with brute force and jam it through the keeper. Goaltending is an issue to look at, Caschetta is a steady goalie, but can he be amazing when needed?

Burnsville has amazing individual dangle-ability in Barnes and Hendo, they have solid role players and contributors, 4 very adequate d men and depth at goaltending...but they need to find the ability to change their game as needed. They have heart...proven against Edina...they have major scoring ability if you give them room, but can they learn to be disciplined (stay out of the box...especially in retaliation) and adjust (shoot and crash..and use your D...it's early they have the right coach...we'll see

Holy Angels...very early in their season, they have the talent, depth and coaching..there big weakness might be goaltending against the high flying snipers at Edina and Burns...there goalies don't see alot of tough shots in conference play could be an issue, also they failed to adjust last year in finals against Burns...have they learned

I like either Roseau or Edina to take it all

Burns or Holy angels as my alternates

Now wouldn't that be just lovely!! ;) Then they could co-op and play nationally and globally! You could call it "Roseau County takes on the World!!!"

I'll have to go Hill-Murray. I think Edina may be the best team in the state this year but not sure if they will hang on to win it. As far as Roseau goes I say it's hard for anyone to repeat. My second pick would be Centennial.

I think the only team out of section 2 with a shot is Edina cuz AHA has recently developed a tradition of choking ever since they won the title.and burnsville lacks the depth to win,Edina if they are playing at there best can win but not the way they played last year.Hill Murray Until they prove they can win some big games they cant be chosen just to many times they have lost to someone they should have beaten or fell short by not scoring a clutch goal, also the same reason why Moorhead as good as they are shouldnt be picked.which leads me to Roseau The defending champs until they are knocked out they should still be the favorites

I love the Rams and would love to see a repeat. HOWEVER, this is high school hockey with 16, 17, 18 year old kids. That is why they will not go undefeated and will have a tough time repeating......

A loss to Thief River or Bemidji would do them a lot of good in the long haul.

AHA has won two titles. So apparently they don't always choke after they win the title. That said, The two state championships AHA has won in the last five years were with two of the weaker teams they had.

In 2002, Although very talented the were heavy underdogs on even getting out of their own section. They were never supposed to beat Apple Valley (with Lundin in net) and Certainly were were not expected to beat Roseville and Hill to win it.

In 2005, Although AHA was the section 5 favorite, No one picked them to win the championship. I remember sitting by some Moorhead fans who were actually hoping to play AHA instead of Tartan.

In my opinion the 02-03, 03-04 and 05-06, 06-07 teams were all better than the teams that actually won championships.

The moral of the story is, When everyone looks past AHA, Look out.

And we all know how good Moorhead is because even though they lost to White Bear(who got stomped by cloquet who got beat by South St. Paul), they beat Bemidjii and Buffalo.

End of story. Give them the title now.

That's one of the worst sentences I have ever read.
