I was really disappointed with this game! Not only did it ruin my so far perfect pick'em for the week but I was expected much better play. I was at STA vs Breck and the play was much faster, better passes, better everything in my book. I think both those private schools good wipe the ice with both Rose and Tonka! Plus #19 for Tonka obviously a great talent but i think he will be just another RJ anderson (Centennial now with Gophers) when he gets to college, all offense no Defense.

Well, just to let you know, all offense no defense doesn't get you ranked 12th in the country for Seniors.

Really? Where are you finding these rankings? Do they have them for each class?

Gardiner dominated with 1 goal 2 assists. JT Brown had 1 assist but didn't light the lamp. Shots were at least 2 to 1 in Tonka's favor. I can see what you mean about Rosemount being cheap. In the third period, when it was 5-2 one of the Rosemount players just flat out punched a player from Minnetonka in the face. Overall, not much class shown from the Irish.
i was at this game and that didnt happen u idiot percy swung at him and missed and thats hockey for u any way

I said before that Tonka was a top 5 team... Top 3 now.

about rosemount's sportsmanship issue....i agree i think some of the things they do seem very unclassy. if that was true about the jefferson player that is downright pathetic

I need someone to convince me he's not this kind of player because it ticked me off at the time.
JT is a fantastic talent but his mental game has always been his demise. Get under his skin early in a game and you take away 50% of his effectiveness. As more teams key on his play, I would expect to see his numbers drop the rest of the season from the incredible start he has had to date.

one assist? I was at the game and brown was nothing special. macmanus....not very tough and not a lot of poise with the puck. I think rmount had 6 shots halfway through the game. They look like they were poorly coached. tonka is looking tough!

Must be for academics, because it certainly isn't for hockey skills.

The fact of the matter is that both Rosemount and Tonka are very good teams, capable of beating most teams in the state any given night. Tonka came out ahead last night, enough said.

I have been to most of the Rosemount games this year, and while they have their moments of unsportsmanlikle action, so do every other team. That is part of hockey, and when emotions get involved, things happen that shouldn't.

Hats off to Tonka on a great win, and both teams will be tough to beat in their sections.

R.J. Anderson was known as an offensive defensemen in high school.

I remember a Pete Lopresti. Good goalie, but no Waselovich.

I am not sure that punching a kid, or taking a swing at a kid is part of every hockey game.

Maybe Rosemount is a bit thin skinned. That might be the element that stops them from going far in the playoffs.

I don't know what game some of you guys were watching last night, but it was total domination by Tonka.

No disrespect intended as I think Rosemount has a decent team, but for the first two periods it was like watching a varisty team playa Bantam A team.

Tonka lead 3-0 after two, and the shots were 26-5!

Not 2 to 1 but more like 5 to 1. Rosemount didn't even get a sniff.

I hate to overestimate a team so early in the season bu Tonka is the real deal. They are 6-0 and look who they've beat, East, Marshall, Rosemount, and Hibbing and Cloquet on the road. Reprots say they also handled Roseau in a scrimmage.

They are big, fast, they hit, move the puck very well and have solid goaltending. What more do you want in a team?

If they can stay healthy, the only question is can they hange with the Edina's of the world who have 5 guys as talented as Jake Gardiner. That said, they play a very disciplined team game, and though any team can lay an egg on any given night, they don't have any discernable weaknesses.

Look for them to challenge for a top 5 rating all season long.

Come on people prior to the game Tonka was rated higher than Rosemount. Tonka was up for the game on thier home ice. The score reflects a slightly better team that had home ice advantage. Also, the cheap thing goes both ways for a lot of teams.
