Not sure if I call it entertaining, but it was a game.
AHA was out shot in the first period 12 -3 with a score of 1 - 1. In the second AHA dominated with shots 8 - 2 in favor of AHA for a total of 14 - 10 for Wayzata, but the score was AHA 2 Wayzata 1. In the third Wayzata ties, then goes ahead, but AHA outshoots them 14 - 8 for totals of 24 - 22 in favor of AHA. The penalty shot was a good attempt and a good save.
Webb played his first game of the season and took a bad penalty in the third that allowed the Trojans to score. Wayzata played a great game and a good come from behind win, but AHA is still in the learning faze of their season with a lot of under-classmen. As the season goes on AHA will play as most people expect them to play, but they will take their lumps along the way.
It sounds like you're selling Wayzata short. [-X AHA played exactly as I would "expect them to play" and most teams are still in the "learning phase of the season." Wayzata merely out-hustled them in the first, took advantage of their opportunities, particularly in the third, and played a very good defensive game, including a stellar effort in net. It was an excellent effort by Wayzata. They deserved the win. =D>

nice win for the Trojans...tough schedule showing results and shows AHA is not dominate and that Rosemount win was not a fluke...Good job Trojans

Wayzata played a great game and a good come from behind win,

Yes I can see where I was selling them short. I comment on my team and defend them, too many people come on this board and comment on teams and have no clue about what they are talking about. I gave Wayzata the props, but no one sees that. How many games has Wayzata played? This was Webbs first game and AHA is a young team. I am not making excuses, just the facts. Here is another prop for Wayzata, the students that came to the watch the game were great. They hung on the glass and when one of our guys asked them to stay off the glass, they did. Unlike AHA's students. AHA never has students at the game and it was nice to see them there, but they need to learn the etiquette at the arena. Which if they come back they will.

Zamman-

I can appreciate your comments if AHA is your team, I would expect that of anyone rooting for a specific team. I'm glad you brought up the AHA students, they bothered me for 2 reasons; 1) some of them were yelling during the national anthem and 2) They were yelling "sieve" after Wayzata scored a goal. I didn't understand that, were they yelling at Webb? It seems AHA needds to send a staff person along to babysit the small but loud student section.

If you had merely said, "Wayzata played a great game and a good come from behind win" that would have been fine. But, you chose to qualify this statement with this, "...but AHA is still in the learning faze of their season with a lot of under-classmen. As the season goes on AHA will play as most people expect them to play, but they will take their lumps along the way." [-(
They implication was that the loss to Wayzata was abberant, and is just wouldn't happen later in the season. That seems a bit too confident, to me. Perhaps Wayzata simply beat AHA in spite of AHA putting a good effort on the ice? Perhaps other teams will too? Perhaps this wasn't an unexpected "lump", but rather an event that was always well within the realm of the possible. #-o
I'd rather you have merely said, "AHA was outplayed by Wayzata, and Wayzata deserved to win" and leave it at that. Everything else was mere speculation.

Wayzata played a good game and deserved the win. But I found the game sloppy, Wayz iced the puck at least a dozen times after they took the lead and at one flurry at the Wayz net I saw at least 4 Wayz skaters piled in front of the net. Mattson hits the pipe with 3 seconds left, also the nice save on the penalty shot. Fun game!
