If I had to guess I would say that with girls programs all over that the answer would be no. I also wouldnt be surprised if it was something that each individual school can make there own decision on, like if they dont have a girls team or if a girl could help the boys team but I dont know anything for sure.

NO:

It's just like a team who can opt 'up' to AA from A, but a AA team cannot opt 'down' to A, same sort of principle applys

If a girl can play on a boys team it's only "fair" that a boy should be able to play on a girls team.

That argument has been lost a time or two.

I'm not saying that I agree with it but isn't that the entire premise of title 9?

I guess, but a girl with boys is okay, a boy with girls is not.

We're bigger, stronger, faster, better - in sports, anyway.
So if a girl is bigger etal and wants to try the boys side, fine.
If a boy is smaller, weaker, slower, worse, he finds other outlets than sports.

I agree with you 100%, but that isn't the answer to my question. My question is if it is theoretically possible for a boy to play on a girls high school hockey team or not.

Duluth East has a freshman goalie, Paige Turner, playing JV this year. Are there any other instances of girls playing on boys' teams this year?

No. It is defined by gender.
Boys side is not.

I watched her play in the White Bear JV game. Did okay; gave up one goal in one period, if my short-termed memory is correct.

Gotta love the name, though!

Girls are only allowed to play Boys hockey if there school does not have a girls hockey team... This rule applys for all. If a guy wanted to play girls volleyball he could, as long as there is not a boys volleyball offered at his school. This is the state policy, and goes for all schools.

That's also what my understanding of the rule was after talking with a local AD. I believe Cathedral high school (might have been the middle school), had a boys volleyball player a few years back.

I didn't realize my topic would create such decussion but now that it got to the Duluth East girl. Why is she allowed to play when Duluth has girls hockey and I heard that she was specifically recruited from Iron River, Wisc. Is this correct???

Rules are rules so why does East get away with it?

I am amazed that the girls don’t use the BLUE puck.
I think they use a smaller basketball, softball, lower net in Volleyball.
Can’t think of other things?

There is a sufficient amount of girls teams now that it should not be aloud.

First, where and when did you hear it from? Was this a reliable source, or do you just want to believe it is?

Second, I've seen topics started by people before where they start "innocently" enough, but eventually their real motive comes out. Why didn't you put what you "heard" in your initial post?

I'm skeptical about your motive here.
