Grand Rapids loses biggest fan
Bernice "Grandma" Schedin passed away at age 88 on Tuesday. Grandma rarely ever missed a sporting event, home or away. She was at most every football and baseball game, but hockey was her passion. Her funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids. Visitiation starts at 10 a.m.

I feel very sorry for the Rapids community for their loss. A loyal fan is hard to find, especially one that has been with them for so long.Indians forever wrote:She will be sadly missed by everyone in this community!! The big guy upstairs must of had an extra seat for here in the heaven arena. Thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

Do her proud Rapids and keep her chair empty for all games at the IRCC.

That my boy is an outstanding idea! That is what MN hockey is all about and how arenas become our secondary place of sanctuary.
Don't drop the puck on this one GR. It would be befitting for a great community to honor one of their top fans!
