Gonna ref some WCHA games? I'd pay admission just to watch you ref Goon! Maybe get some guys together and follow you around. We'd call ourselves the Goon Squad. Maybe we'll run a book and you can be on the payroll?
You know I call everything right down the middle. :D

This tournament looks like it is as good as any Holiday Tournament around. Yes it does not have as big name as the Schwan Cup, but the teams are top notch. Jefferson is not a slouch team. Central is even better than I thought this year.

Plus the Arena does not take a back seat to anyone. I do not think even the X has marble floors.

Yeah sure best tournament in the GF/EGF area, Jefferson is no where near the team they used to be, I believe they had a losing record last year. Besides Roseau, central will be the best team there, and that will maybe be an 8-3 game. I take that back 5-0 with mike lee posting his patented shut out.

From Frank Fee's Sports Feever this morning...An e-mail from Scott Oliver...

Hi Frank:
Our game with Warroad in Roseau on January 10th has been moved to Wednesday January 9th. The game will be broadcasted on FSN North from Roseau's Memorial Arena.
Kevin has done a great job with organizing the Tournament this weekend in Grand Forks at the R.E.A. All the teams have winning records and are ranked in their State rankings.
The best team I have seen all year has been Grand Forks Red River and I also predicted G-F Central to be up and coming! Have a great Holiday season with your family and we will look forward to seeing you in the New Year…Scott”

Roseau may just get a scare on the behalf of GF central if they don't be careful. IF they do, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out saturday night on a mission.

Actually, I think he's done a great job figuring out what coaching at a HS Super Program is all about...I remember his first radio interview before his first Roseau - Warroad game. Kinda went..."I was a college coach and I don't need to scout because I was a college coach and I think we'll win because Warroad is Class A and I coached college hockey" Dark Eyes proceeded to hand him a 15 - 1 beating. SectionFan had what I think is still the best one-liner in "Minnhock" history after that game..."That's another fine mess you've gotten us into Ollie". Coach Oliver has come a long ways you don't win the State Title without doing a good job Coaching. Some of the Roseau know-it-alls will come on here now and say he didn't coach that team Bill Lund did...not true...Oliver is the motivator and has assembled a nice staff and delegates very well just as a good head coach does.

Must not be doing a very good job covering it the way UHL is kissing it.

Goon is alive and well UHL...

I'm not the only one that thinks Oliver is a little bit of a joke. He'll be gone when his kid is. Oliver didn't create his coaching staff. They were assigned to him to make sure the job gets done. He is in charge of radio interviews and newspaper articles. Billy and Andy do most of the work. :D

Thought the Shady Bunch had gained a another new member. That must have been a close one I figured for sure you had gotten the showers but they must have talked it over and gave you a BFB Lite by just blasting the thread. :)

You want me to be booted don't you.

Dexter, myself and a few others had some Roseau chicks (cougars) mad at us about a mystery video that was filmed at the shed. Starring Luvle Lemons and Ashley Sparks. There has been a threat made. Luvle has filed a lawsuit against Goon, upon the video release. Stating "she was going to chop his nuts off." Goon who owns the 100% rights to the video has counter filed saying she has breached the Top 10 Reasons of dating hockey players. (To find top 10 PM me and I'll send it to you) Ashley has been in semi-seclusion since the known video was found. Stay tuned for more of the saga as it unfolds.

Your unreal man. I love it. No one has the sense of humor in all of this. I just hope they don't throw you off. As for Oliver I couldn't agree more. He came in and used Roseau's program for his kid. He has never really given anything back. Just like most of Roseau thinks, oh well he'll be gone in 2 years anyway.

#1 he's Canadian.
#2 he can't skate
#3 he doesn't know the game of hockey and pretends like he does.
#4 his ego is bigger than mine.
#5 he has no summer workout program for his players.

those are just off the top of my head.

He might give a good pre-game speech and do good PR work. I'll give him a 9 out of 10. But when it comes down to knowing the game and coaching it correctly he is by far a 2 out of 10. I wish the games would get here I'm tired of talking about big red.

Don't let Ollie get to you...Roseau will be just fine. Ricki and brett could coach our team to a state championship that's what kind of talent we have. Ollie can have his glory but in the end it's the kids who accomplished it.
