I was at the game and Cent looked horrible, but on a different note the reason the cent fans got kicked out was really dumb... for the second period the student section moved behind the east goal and security, for whatever reason decided they wouldnt let them sit there. When one kid said something he got kicked out and another asked "What's he gonna do? Walk home?" and the two security guards flipped out and grabbed everyone they could and kicked them out and then continued by getting the supervisor who called the cops who kicked the rest of the students out...dulutheastfan wrote:firepit1223 wrote:Did you hear how the fans got kicked out???
No something big though i can see why they would be mad

The problem was, a large number of them weren't sitting there...they were standing in the walkway which runs around tDECC. The reason they were doing this was very simple; so they could stand behind Larson and yell down at him. Not only was it dumb, but it didn't work. Hanna needed help on the other hand, help which his defense didn't give him tonight.bulldog14411 wrote:I was at the game and Cent looked horrible, but on a different note the reason the cent fans got kicked out was really dumb... for the second period the student section moved behind the east goal and security, for whatever reason decided they wouldnt let them sit there. Johnson's line came up huge. Centennial got behind early, got frustrated, got chippy. Aus had a meltdown or two on the bench, and I have no idea why. Until his kids lost their composure, the calls were even. In fact, once East got up by a few, the refs were calling every little thing they could on East for awhile, and then it would change. It looked like those two short refs who I "appreciated" their work on a few occasions last season.
Obviously a very satisfying result for the Hound faithful.

WOW. This is the sort of game that leaves me feeling giddy. The Greyhounds came out absolutely flying, and a team that looked like it couldn't buy a goal early in the season, no matter how many shots it had, was efficiently dominant. They made Hanna look absolutely horrible, and Centennial's power play was pretty weak. Neil Larson had by far his best game in net for the Greyhounds. It'll be very interesting to see where each team goes from here.
East vs. Centennial
What the _ _ _ _ has happened to Centennial the past 2 Games?
Congrats to the Hounds on whalloping the Cougars...but before East fans get too giddy over their win...Anoka beat Coon Rapids tonight 7-4 and their first line scored all 7 goals. John O'Neill had a 6 point night (1 goal and 5 assists) Scott with 2 goals and at least 1 assist...Belisle with 2 goals and at least 2 assists...Dustin Olson and Tony Rush scored the other goals. Derek Louisel had 3 or 4 points for Coon Rapids.
It will be a barn-burner at 1:00 pm Saturday at Anoka Arena...to bad this game isn't on FSN North...it should be.

Any box score on the Anoka game? I know that Anoka was up 3-1 after one and was handling play and then all my sources left... And Lee since when was no one allowed to harass the goalie? last time i checked it happened all the time...hockey59 wrote:What the _ _ _ _ has happened to Centennial the past 2 Games?

Left after 1st. I could tell the route was coming. Centennial shooting one into their own net to get it going really hurt. East looked great. I was very disappointed with Cent.

It wasn't that they were harrassing Neil. Read what I said again; they were standing in the walkway to do so. Then, when one or more copped an attitude with the DECC employees (and I won't discuss that type of dumbness here, let's just say it was braindead and leave it at that), that was all the reason they needed to start banning....errr....booting people.bulldog14411 wrote:Any box score on the Anoka game? I was sitting there and can understand kicking that kid out but many of the kids were standing there just as part of the group and had done nothing wrong, i can see some being kicked out but there were many that should have been able to stay if they wanted.... And where are you getting this info from? shouldnt you have been on the east side of the arena?east hockey wrote:It wasn't that they were harrassing Neil. Okay, one more time; they were blocking the aisle. When they were told to get back on their side, most of them refused. It was pretty easy to see from any side of the arena (remember, this isn't the Excel we're talking about here, it's a 5,000 seat arena). My other info came from what I was told by the workers there.bulldog14411 wrote:I was sitting there and can understand kicking that kid out but many of the kids were standing there just as part of the group and had done nothing wrong, i can see some being kicked out but there were many that should have been able to stay if they wanted.... What they did was dumb, to go into a visiting arena and resist the employees of that arena when they're clear told they aren't to stand in a walkway. It can't get much simpler than that. Hey, they were losing and thought they'd help their team out. No problem with that; the problem was in what they did in the process.

I know they were blocking the aisle and i agree what some of them did was dumb but the actual ejection did not occur til they were goign back to the seats they were "supposed" so be sitting in that's where my problem is... I know that some were dumb and some deserved to be kicked out but this shouldn't have been a guilty by association thing there were only about 2 or 3 that should have been kicked outeast hockey wrote:Okay, one more time; they were blocking the aisle. Line of Johnson Tardy and Boese looked great tonight.... they keep this up they will definately get the hounds back in the top ten. Johnson with 3 goals, Tardy with 2 goals 2 assists and Boese with 2. Also easts d core really looked strong today as arbour had his best game of teh year... im hoping to see a rematch game at the x mas tourny between east and tonka

just what the hounds deserved, played a great game, first line was amazing, defense strong and neil was on. pitlick is a good player, abit overrated after watching him against johnson and tardy. where is johnson going? any offers? nice player, moves well. wish I could go to ANoka, it will be a fun game for those who can see it.
