WBL/Forest Lake

Post by formerlybackofnet »

This could be a tough test for the Bears, who need to rebound badly. Forest Lake always plays them tough at Maroon and Gold arena. Thoughts?

You're right that it seems Forest Lake usually plays the Bears tough in their own arena. They give White Bear some tough times at Aldrich as well.

I think White Bear will win tonight in overtime.

Rangers take this one 4-3. Forest Lake has solid players and a good goalie - WBL lacks the scoring power.

WBL is recovering from losing the most overrated and moronic player in state history: Tony V. Oh, and by the way don't talk smack about Tony cuz his buddy will send you message saying how "TV" will fight you anywhere.

Both teams very inconsistent. Forest Lake likes to be near the cellar. They will find a way to lose. Bears 3-1

Thanks.

That's weird, because I heard FL actually had a decent squad this year and even knocked off Rapids.

When are the good people of Forest Lake going to wake up? Their hockey program ranks among the worst in the State. Year after year they put with this. Why?

I highly doubt that.

If you consider the size of the city, the fact they are a growing community, thev'e had a hockey program for what, at least 30-40 year's.
When was the last time they finished even in the top 3 of their conference?
Were not talking about an inner city program here where no new families are moving in. Your talking one of the fastest growing area's in the metro.
Every year they finish at or near the bottem. If i offended you i apologize, but i touched on this subject (F.L Hockey) a while back and didn't get much response which may explain my point exactly. No one up there seems to care..

You didn't offend me. I just don't think Forest Lake can be called one of the worst programs in the state.

They do have a big city, but, for some reason, not a good hockey team.

Lack of commitment in the youth ranks, due to a nurturing and enriching mentality on the hockey board.

Wow, what a game. It was close before they dropped the puck and that was about it.

Wolter did not play. The Pioneer Press once again does a stellar job on the box score. It said that Heins played. He is the JV goalie. Collette played the first 2 periods, and Abrahmson finished up in the 3rd.

At least pointstreak.com has Collete as the goalie of play, although, that site shows he played the entire game.

Grand Rapids out shot them 2-1 in that game and they wouldnt be winning games if it wasnt for their goalie. FL isnt a team even their record is showing it different
