I will be in Rochester for these, just wondering what this Grafton team is all about.

Grafton has a decent team. Probably the 2nd best team behind RR.

Good test for the Spartans and Panthers right before Kiwanis.
I am excited to see how these games turn out.

Mayo 5 Grafton 3

Grafton took more penalties than mayo did. Thauwald had 2 goals.

That is not true....Mayo had 8 penalties (if you count the misconduct for the checking from behind) to Grafton's 6.

Grafton had more PP time because Mayo took penalties when on the PP - some of very iffy tripping calls by Zmolek the ref.
Mayo also killed of a lengthy 5 on 3 at the beginning of the 3rd period.
If you look at the disparity of shots in the 1st and 3rd it was mostly because Mayo was killing penalties.

Thauwald had two nice goals - one right off a clean face-off win by Flott.
Mayo's big line had few points and no goals....they got 3 goals from their 3rd line guys - Schultz, Powers, and Goslee.

A very nice win for the Spartans and Yaggy looked great in goal again.
I still have issues with the sloppy and lazy play in their own end though.
