Grand Rapids jerseys

Post by TheHockeyDJ »

This is the 3rd season Grand Rapids has had atleast one 1975 jersey. If they changed next season, what jerseys would you like to see them go to? A newer jersey model, or a different one from the past.

My personal opinion, go back to the early 90's teams. White Chicago Blackhawk style jerseys at home. Orange jerseys with the black shoulders on the road, GR logo on front of both. Both of those uniforms can be seen in the IRA upstairs lobby in the 1990 and 1991 state tourney pictures.

They were worn mainly in the mid 80's.

Just picture this with a GR on the jersey and you'll get where I'm coming from... Breathtaking!

That picture sure brings back memories of some very ugly uniforms.

I would suggest going back to the Indian Head. Then while they are at it they should change there name back to the Indians. Just my opinion!!

I think I just got a blister looking at those! Before the pull out liner was shredded up they were pretty warm though.

I have nothing negative to say about Cooperalls. They were comfortable to play in, it took ten minutes less to get dressed, and they looked great.

Stay with the oldschool jerseys. Can you get those gloves in orange?

If the players were to wear the cooperalls, then i think the refs should wear breezers, like a flip-flop.

boblee,

Do you happen to know anything about Chad Bowman? He's the assistant coach of the squirt 'B' white team. I knew him when he was quite young. He is also a relative of former Indian Chris LeVasseur.
