Gosh, I am out of town so missed that one. I suspect Hakan did play well. He does have talent, GOOD FOR HIM !eagle4life9 wrote:If its true we know Hakan played well. He can win (or in this case tie) a game all by himself. He gives South a legit chance at section 1AA even with his early season struggles.

SOG
Jefferson 37
Lakeville South 22
Jefferson was clearly the better skating team but they didn't get a lot of qood quality scoring chances. Jefferson really looked disinterested and didn't use their biggest advantage, THEIR LEGS.
I thought #3 for Jefferson was the best player on the ice, if they had 9 forwards use their legs and bodies like he does, they'd be a real factor.
The first two periods were a real snoozer but the third opened up a little.
The Lakeville goalie is a good one, he's never out of position and he made some quality saves look easy. He was also very composed and level headed when Jefferson stormed the net. If he is emotional like some goalies are when they're under attack, you couldn't see it from the stands. He makes them a real factor in 1AA.
Hasse is a great rink for watching a game, I'd say Lakeville has a lot of the ingredients to be a HS hockey factor now and especially down the road.

Yea i don't know what happened to the Jags in this one...I don't know if they thought they could walk into someone else's rink and pull out an easy win or what....theres never an easy win in the Lake but i don't think this game will haunt the Jags too much, I believe they learned a lesson in this one and will be back at it in their next one versus eastview

haunt them it will. It shows they are not what they think they are. The Jags have everything for them: The Best/most expensive feeder system in the state and a great coaching staff. The talent is there too. However, the experience is not. Lakeville South showed Jefferson (as did BSM against Edina) Sheer talent does not make up for veteran leadership. I call this the "Old Man Strength" effect, This sums up the gophers recent failure.goldenhockey20 wrote:Yea i don't know what happened to the Jags in this one...I don't know if they thought they could walk into someone else's rink and pull out an easy win or what....theres never an easy win in the Lake but i don't think this game will haunt the Jags too much, I believe they learned a lesson in this one and will be back at it in their next one versus eastview
Jefferson will bounce back and will probably win the rest of their conference games, but they need to develop more.
LOOK OUT FOR THE JAGS IN THE NEXT 2 SEASONS
